CH 32 THE-PROPOSAL

I belled and the person who I wanted to open exactly opened the door
"Rachel!" She looked at me shocked
"Angela" I greeted her back
"I am happy you came here but also suspicious" she eyed me
"I need to speak to you" I said "Let's go for a ride"
I took her hand and before she could object then asked her to sit behind me
"Bu-"
"Sshhhh"
"I-"
"Sshhhh"
"Li-"
"Sshhhh"
"Fine!"

She reluctantly sat behind me
Honestly, I didn't have anything to talk to her but since David had to talk to her single mother (First step: asking her family for her hand) so I had to get her out of her house.

Reaching near a donut house I stopped my bike.We walked in and inspected the place to find a good table to sit. We soon sat down.

"Sooo....." she begin after donuts were safe and secure in our stomach
"I found out a little secret about you" I told her
"Did Rose tell you that I stole pancakes? Because if she did then she is so dead by me! How could she do this to me? I gave her half of it almost to keep her mouth shut" she went on
"No, not that!" I cut her "It's that-"
"About the pickpocket thing? I just wanted to try it once. I just wanted to learn how to do it but I guess Estella told you! I hate her" she ranted

If I allow her to go on she'll confess every crime of hers. But it's wrong of me to listen it.
"Not anything of it" I shouted "it's about David and you"
"What about us?" She asked, her eyes glued to the window
"YOU tell me! How do you guys know each other from your childhood?" I asked.

"My mom and his dad are college friends" she looked at me and smiled "after my biological dad left us, we had no one. No family support, no job, no money, nothing. But his dad took us in and helped solve our problem. Since then I know David. I still remember we both playing hide and seek, Mario and quote game together. But everything changed when he went to high school. He no longer wanted me because he thought it was a harm to his "image" so I didn't bother him after that. That is our story which ends on a sad note. Every relation does not end with a happily ever after..."
"If this is it then why did you blush when I walked upon you both talking in coffee shop?" I questioned

"I...it was...we-"

"Do you love him?" I cut her
She sighed before answering "Yeah, a lot but I know he doesn't. He will once again go away from me and leave me alone like my father left my mom! All men are like that. They only care about themselves. Selfish bitch!" She cursed with tears in her eyes
I tried cooling her mood by asking her what quote game is. "It's a kind of game that we use to play. Quote for another quote till one runs out. It used to be so much fun. I miss it!" She smiled sadly

"That's cute" I commented
She got up immediately and hurriedly said "I need to go home" and walked out before I could do anything
I called David "Are you done? She is coming home" I said when he picked up
"Yeah, I am"

Angela's POV

I hurriedly walked out of the donut house to catch a cab home. I couldn't take it anymore. I am never a person to cry but when David comes in picture, my heart and brain stop their coordination.
When I reached home I knew mom would ask about my blood red eyes but I cannot tell her that I cried over David. No one, not even David, knows that I love him. More then my life, anything, he is everything to me. But now that Rachel knows I am scared she'll tell him. He'll leave me sooner or later so I didn't want anyone to know. Plus he deserves a much more better girl then me.
I got home and went directly to my room. After closing the door I turned around to observe a box with a note next to it.
I walked to the box and inspected it. The note read:
