CH 22 NOT-SO-EQUAL-TO-ALPHA

I was sitting in my room on my bed with my baby in my hand
Hugging him
"You know, teddy, Dada was a werewolf" I whispered
I had this habit of sometimes telling my blue big fluffy teddy bear about my problems
"Stop squeezing the life out of it, Rachel, or should I say cotton out of it ?" said a voice
"But, brother, so many things happened today and I am not able to sleep!" I complained

Ronald walked up to me and took the teddy in his hands then he made me lie down on the bed and put my teddy next to me and pulled the blanket on us
"Sleep, little angel, I am there with you and will always protect you like a big brother should" he took a chair and sat next to my bed

He put his hand on my forehead
and asked me to sleep
"Let your dream be full of happiness and joy" he smiles at me
I close my eyes and soon enter my dreamland
When I wake up because of the stupid sunlight I see my brother sleeping on the chair with his head on my bed

I try waking him up but he won't bulge so I take some drops of water from bottle on my nightstand and sprinkle on his face
Did you observ "drops" but that is enough for Ron to get irritated he lifts his head in anger
"Rachel" he gives me a death glare
"Yes brother" I get out of my bed from the other side
He took the bottle from the nightstand next to him and aimed it on me. I ducked and saved myself as I ran out
That was how it all started
We were in the living room which had turned into a battle field now when the door opened and the room filled with my mom's voice
"What have you two done out of my home"
"She did it" my brother pointed at me
"No!"I objected and pointed at him "he did it"
"Who started?" my brother asked "I just put some drops! Who asked you to continue?" I asked him

"Enough!" mom stopped us "clean this and as punishment you are gonna clean the house for next week"
"

What! You can't do this to us! We are your kids" Ron cried
"Well, do you realize that I am your mother? " she asked "I want it to be cleaned by the time I fresh up and I want my breakfast too" she said as she walked to her room
"This is your fault" my brother pointed at me
"Nah-ha yours brother" I argued
"And no arguments on who's fault, kids" my mom's voice echoed

We looked at each other and then back at stairs that lead to my mom's room and yelled "We are not kids"
"You two are no less than that" she replied
After cleaning up everything and cooking breakfast I walked into my bathroom and got ready in a white sweater dress that came till my knees with full sleeves

Coming out of my room I took a seat
Mom and Ron were already having their breakfast as I joined them in chewing fight
"Are you gonna go to college today?" mom asked
"Yeah" I nodded "Why?"

"We wanted to speak to you about-" my brother was answering but mom cut him
"Tonight, when you return, we will talk about it"
It was so obvious that they wanted to speak to me about dad but I played along
"Okay" I nodded "I will be leaving soon because my bike is still near the coffee shop so I will be taking cab"

After finishing my breakfast I gathering my stuff and walked to main door
As soon I stepped out of my door I came back and locked the door because I saw someone's face I never wanted to see after yesterday night - BUA
"Actually, I changed my mind " I walked to my brother "Can you drop me?"
"Yeah su-" he started but stopped himself for some seconds and then smirked and answered "Nope, you should know that the person standing outside is Royal Alpha whom I can't go against"
"Ghhh! I am your Regina!" I complaint
"Alpha comes first" he shrugged
"Shouldn't it be equal?" I asked, confused
"Yes, only after he marks you"
"Marks me? Like with a permanent marker or something?" I asked
"No, with my teeth on your shoulder and neck junction" the voice of Ash made me look behind me over the shoulder
Mum had õpened the door for him and he was standing just two feet away from me
"Teeth?" I asked again to confirm
Teeth! It may hurt, right? God!
"Do you really think I will hurt you, Rachel?"
"How can I trust you? It's not even been one month since I have met you! You could a killer, a murderer, a rapist! Maybe you are lying about the whole mate thing because I know you are a werewolf and you have to keep a secret about it so the best solution is drag me into your secret so it's not spilt from my mouth! You could be a con artist for all I know!" I turned and shouted at him
His eyebrows raised in question and his eyes narrowed in anger then he asked me
"This is why I would have told all the secrets about the werewolf world and saved you from kidnappers and helped you last Friday night when you couldn't even stand on your own! You are the only person on this earth who wasn't dead after going against me and shouting at me! Tell me, why would I do that! Just because you know my secret! Well, it wouldn't have taken long for me to rape you or kill you I if wanted and-" he was shaking with anger so my brother cut him "Alpha, I don't think it's safe for her if you shift now"
"Friday night, you couldn't stand on your own?" my mum asked
"Sprained leg" Ashton lied for me before he walked out of my home

After he was gone my mother broke the silence "C'mon I will take you to college"
The car ride was silent until my mum spoke
"Why do you like going against Ashton? He is a good guy, Rachel, and he is your mate! It hurts his a lot then you can imagine when you go against him"

"I understand but you have to understand too that this is too much to take in for me. I have never been in relationship and suddenly someone comes and claims that I will be staying with him for a life time. It's just too much mom" I answered her
"I understand, honey" she sighed
After a few minutes she said "One more thing"
I looked at her
"Are you still a virgin?"
"MUM!" I exclaimed angrily

I just love mothers! It takes a lot to handle kids like us but still they do!
