Training
Charles has been working and training with the mutants in the house, and that's what he continues doing. For example he worked with Alex on his mutation and Hank created a device which helps him focus on a target. Eleanor gets dressed with some sporty shorts and an old and tight t-shirt. She leaves the house and starts jogging around the property. As she runs around the woods she thinks about everything that happened recently. She thinks about Charles. She stops in the middle of the woods and breathes looking around. Charles. She can't avoid the name, it appears in her head even though she wants to focus on training. She takes a deep breath and lets it out. She doesn't want to admit it, she never will, but she likes him. She likes him a lot. It's not even a crush, it's something more, something kind of magical. There's a connection between the two, and she feels that spark. She has proven to be a quite unstable woman. She can't promise him she will be there as much as she'd like to. She wants to stay here, but she can't stay here without making a mess of Charles's life. She closes her eyes and continues jogging until she reaches de house again. Back in the house, she decides to go to the clear part without trees and do some stretching there. She tries her handstands too and does the splits around five times. She continues working on her agility and elasticity.
She is trying to do a somersault in the air as she hears someone calling her. She turns around to find Erik, Banshee, Hank and Charles walking in her direction. She looks to the front again since she has a minute or so until they reach her. She starts running and does the somersault, reaching the ground with her hands and doing a handstand and gets herself on her feet by doing a backbend. The space gap between them, she decides to walk instead of doing two cartwheels.
"Hello" She greets the group of men, trying to avoid eye contact with Charles. Erik gives her a little smile.
"You need a little more practice, you know" He comments grimacing. Eleanor narrows her eyes jokingly at him.
"You don't say" She replies "It's the first time I tried that and you know that" She informs putting her hands in her hips.
"Eleanor, I think it may be one of your mutations, agility" Hank says looking at the girl.
"I don't think so... I would be better, wouldn't I?"
"Since is the first time you've done that, and you didn't break your neck... I think it could be really probable" Hank explains. Eleanor shrugs, feeling nervous as he feels Charles' glance staring at her.
"So, what brings you around here, boys?" She asks opening her hand and attracting a pair of glasses and bottle of water. She puts the glasses on in order not to be bothered by the sun and drinks from the bottle with a smile.
"We were going to try Hank's new invention for Sean" Charles informs looking at Eleanor with an eyebrow raised. She pulls down her glasses a little bit to look at him directly and smirks.
"Sounds fun" She responds putting her glasses correctly again "I will gladly join you" She says smiling at the group of males. Charles stares at her as she walks beside Erik.
"You see, I know you and there's something going on" Erik comments with a smile as they walk behind the other three people. Eleanor looks at him and shakes her head narrowing her eyes.
"I try to act like I am completely fine" She replies half smiling "I just have some business which is clouding my thoughts"
"Should I be panicking?" He asks worried. She takes some air and lets it out.
"Can we change the subject?" She asks back with a smile. Erik raises his eyebrow not liking her reluctancy to answer the question.
"Sure, but I will ask later" She turns to look at him with her half smile shrugging. They continue to walk together until they reach a great satellite dish. They get to the top, Eleanor being the last one to reach it, Charles looking back at her to check if she reached it. Erik has his arms crossed.
"And you truly believe I'll fly this time?" Sean, the red-haired boy they call Banshee asks really worried for his safety.
"Unreservedly" Charles responds.
"I trust you" Sean says pointing at Charles as he looks down from the top of the satellite dish.
"I'm touched" Charles adds.
"I don't trust him" He immediately continues pointing at Hank.
"Say nothing" Charles orders to Hank.
"I'm gonna die!" Sean exclaims looking doing a scared expression with his face.
"Do it, whatever you are planning. Just do it" She whispers to Erik with a smirk. He looks at her amused and she nods.
"Look, we're not going to
make you do anything you don't feel-" Charles says before being interrupted by Erik."Here, let me help" He says with a smile as he pushes the boy.
"Erik!" Charles exclaims. Eleanor looks down at the boy with a smile in her face. He turns to look at her. The boy falls and continues falling. Charles looks down worried. He eventually screams and starts flying. Eleanor laughs and claps.
"Oh my god, that looks so much fun" She murmurs looking at Sean. Erik pats her back and she cleans a fake tear from the corner of her eye. Charles tries not to look at them but fails at it.
"What?" Erik replies "You know you were thinking the same" He says with an amused look. Charles shakes his head but smiles at his friend.
"I think I'm leaving guys, good job Hank" She says as she steps back, leaving the males alone and congratulating the young scientist. He smiles at her and nods, thanking the girl.
"What are you doing now?" Erik asks curiously.
"I'm going to continue training, maybe some kick boxing now... I will see" She replies.
"Don't you wanna improve your mutations?" Charles asks. Eleanor looks at him and it takes her some seconds to answer.
"Yeah, uh, I prefer to stick to the physical training" She tells him "There not much I can do with this" She continues pointing at her head.
"What? That's not true. You have so much power inside of you that you don't realize you do. Remember, your mutation can help you control many things, even yourself" Charles tells the girl. She looks at him and nods slowly, looking away again. She processes the words. Then, she starts to go down the dish but she stops at the half. She could try flight with her telekinetic power, but she decides to just jump, risking a lot. She opens her hands to slow down the speed and she arrives at the ground gently and slowly. She smiles when she reaches the ground and giggles proudly. Working under pressure always works for her.
