It was Monday and I quickly threw on jeans and left on Daniel white button up shirt since I was short on time. I brushed through my hair and went downstairs to hear Matt yell at me.

"Come on Audrey," He screamed from outside. I went outside and got into his car.

"Where were you all weekend," I asked Matt, I never saw him.

"Daniel's house." He lied to me, easily. He acted like it was nothing. I felt a pang in my heart, he doesn't trust me anymore.

"That's funny because I was with him all Saturday." Matt looked at me, skeptical.

"He has a girlfriend Audrey."

"She bailed on him. He had a business party and he needed to take someone. He took me and I met his family. I met my idol Matt. I'm her next muse. I talked to her about my mom and dad and she felt bad for me. I had lots of fun." On the way home, Daniel specifically told me to tell no one about what happened. He said he'd tell me in all good time.

"He still has a girlfriend Audrey." I sighed as he pulled into the parking lot to see a crowd around Daniel and Serenity, speak of the devil. I look at Matt as we rush over there. Daniel was clutching his side and yelling at Serenity.

"Daniel! Daniel! Calm down," I yelled and dragged him away from Serenity and the crowd while Matt dragged Serenity away.

"It hurts Aud," Daniel whimpered when I dragged him to the deserted side of school.

"You shouldn't be yelling and getting worked up." I looked at him holding his back pack and gym bag. "No football either Daniel."

"You aren't my doctor." He said it through gritted teeth and clutched his stomach more.

"I saved you though! I know how this works Daniel. Let me help you, let me see it." He pulled his shirt up and showed me his stitches.

"What's wrong with them?" I looked more and saw that nothing was wrong.

"Nothing. What the hell did you do Sunday?" He looked at me and bit his lip.

"I was with Marco." I glared at him with a confused expression.

"Who's Marco?" He sighed and ran a hand through his hair.

"The guy that wants you." I looked down at my shoes and shoved my hands in my pockets.

"What happened Daniel?" I looked him in the eyes and this time, he put his head down.

"I went to him and told him I would get the money by today but he doesn't want the money anymore. He couldn't care less about the money. He wants you, badly. He wants you as his prize." Why would he want me out of everyone?

"Why me? Why are you involved with him?" I have so many questions for Daniel.

"Where do you want me to start?" He sighs at me.

"The beginning of course."

"It's not safe here. You need to come with me." I nodded and followed him to his car. He drove to an abandoned factory and I followed him inside. The inside was beautiful with white walls and a few bean bag chair and a hammock with an old couch. I saw on the hammock while Daniel sat on the couch, opposite of me. He sighed and tugged at his hair.

"Just talk to me Daniel." He sighed once more and rubbed his hands on his face.

"It had to be my sophomore year maybe. I'm not sure but I joined his gang. He sent me on missions and then soon sent me on really big missions. I sold drugs and he claims the East side. I lost about a million dollars worth of drugs when the West side gang saw me with the van. He kicked me out, that was about a year ago. I moved over to West side, I'm the leader now but Marco wants his money back. He's sent me threats but nothing big, just stuff like get me the money or you'll pay. But he knew I would be there Saturday, I saw him on the beach and I didn't want him near my family or you and Andrew so I went out to him. He was telling me about how the money has doubled and the dead line is soon. But then-," He started to say but I caught on.
