Chapter 21

"Aud, wake up," I hear Daniel whisper in my ear. I felt a smile grow on my face because of him.

"Daniel," I ask enthusiastically.

"No it's Matt." I furrow my eyebrows and sit up until I see Daniel sitting there laughing.

"Not funny!" I hit him with a pillow playfully which causes him to attack me. I fall back onto the bed with Daniel's arm draped around my waist.

"You should've seen your face mamacita." He pecks my lips softly and pulls away. I pour my lip out, his kisses are addictive. I now know why Serenity wanted to make out with him every chance she got.

"You're not funny." I threw a pillow at him which he easily caught and smirked at me.

"Get up and go get changed, we're meeting the crew up for an adventure." I furrowed my eyebrows together, the crew involved Matt and Serenity. I think Daniel sensed my confusion. "They won't be there, don't worry." I smiled and nodded but I realized that my clothes were next door.

"Daniel, I have to go next door to get clothes." I got out of his bed as he threw on a white v-neck. It was so nice to see him in his normal attire. I couldn't help but stare at him, the way his muscles moved.

"I understand. I'll pick you up in 15 minutes, sound good?" I nodded my head and quickly went next door. I saw Matt waiting for me at the entryway.

"Audrey," Matt yelled and hugged me. I shoved him off as he acted hurt.

"Stop Matt," I said sternly, trying to push past him.

"Where were you? I looked everywhere last night!" I glared at him as he tried to start a conversation.

"I took Athena home, you remember her right? Daniel and I took her home and we stayed a while. You remember them right? I hope you do. I stayed over there." His eyes were red and puffy, he's been crying.

"I remember them. I royally screw up Audrey." He sighed and I took that as my chance to brush past him.

"Save the tears for your pillow Matt." I walked up to my room and changed into a black tank top with jeans that I cuffed at the bottom and black booties. I ran a brush through my hair as I grabbed my purse and sunglasses. I knocked on the Johnson's door and Ms. Daniela answered.

"Hello darling! Come in come in," Ms. Daniela said with a huge smile. I'm so glad I passed her this morning undetected. She ushered me in and started yelling in Spanish up the stairs.

"Sí mama," Daniel said as he came downstairs. He dressed in his normal attire but still left me speechless.

"Where are you guys going?" She raised an eyebrow at us.

"On an adventure with the group mama. I'll be careful!" He poured his lip out, begging her to let him go.

"You're lucky I love you Daniel. School tomorrow so be home early!" He grabbed my hand as we ran out to his car and started down the road.

"Where's this adventure Daniel," I ask curiously.

"You'll see. You'll love it Aud," he said and placed a hand on my thigh. I smiled as him softly.

"Why aren't we taking the motorcycle?" He sighed and kissed my hand, grabbing it in his before placing his back on my thigh.

"Because mama doesn't like it." He sounded upset.

"Why?" I pried. I knew I was doing it too.

"Carlos and Mila got into an accident on one. They were both lucky to be alive. She banned them from us. Ryder can use one because she doesn't control him anymore." I kissed his hand softly when he finished.
