Chapter 15

"Bella," Mila yelled over to me when I walked into Daniel's house to pick up Andrew. Their family has dinner everyday together so Aspen and Ryder were over with Penelope and Xavier.

"Mi amor," I yelled back as I walked into the room she was in.

"You look stunning my love." I wore the outfit that I wore to school, a black and white loose blouse that I rolled up the sleeves, jean shorts with a black belt and black converse.

"Thank you so very much." I admired her appearance, she wore a black shirt tucked into a floral skirt.

"Daniel! Audrey is here!" Daniel wouldn't want to see me. It's been two weeks since we did our presentation and he hasn't talked to me really since then. The only time we talked was in the play.

"Okay cool," Daniel yelled down and she rolled her eyes and walked back to the kitchen, gesturing me to follow her. I see Aspen, Ms. Daniela and the kids all cooking.

"Hello Audrey," Ms. Daniela greeted with a smile.

"Hi Ms. Daniela," I said back smiling at her.

"Hello darling," Aspen said as she walked to the sink with a pot in her hands.

"Hello Aspen." She wore a white shirt with some jeans with her hair in a bun, a red and white headband pulling it back into place.

"Stay for dinner sweetheart. Penelope would love for Andrew to stay." 

"Of course we can, if you're okay with it!"

"Of course we are," Ms. Daniela said, smiling.

"The men will be here in a minute. I'm going to get Braden ready and I'll tell Audrey the news," Mila said excitedly and ran upstairs. 

"What's the news," I ask confused and make faces at Xavier in his high chair.

"You'll figure out soon enough," Aspen said as she watched me with Xavier, Xavier was smiling at me with his toothless smile.

"Can I help?" Aspen and Ms. Daniela shook their heads at me.

"It's almost done dear. Just get Daniel down here," Ms. Daniela said and smiled at me. "You know where his room is right?" Just then the door opened to reveal Ryder and Carlos laughing together.

"Honey I'm home," Carlos yelled through the house as Mila came down, laughing.

"How was work baby," She asked him as he kissed her forehead.

"Good good. Where's baby Braden?" He looked around anxiously to see him. 

"He's upstairs. I'll bring him down." She ran up the stairs, tripping a little but she caught herself. That caused Carlos to laugh.

"Daddy daddy," Penelope screamed as she ran to Ryder, he embraced her with open arms and hugged her tightly.

"Hi baby girl, where's mommy," Ryder asked as he kissed her cheek.

"I'm here. I'm here babe," Aspen said and Ryder looked up at her, awestruck. Penelope ran off with Andrew to play. Ryder smiled at Aspen and wiped away sauce that got on her face.

"I love you." He pecked her lips as she fell into him. I took this as my cue to leave and get Daniel. I knocked on his closed door.

"Who is it," Daniel asked and I peaked in, memories flooding back to when I slept in here.

"Dinner is almost ready," I said softly, causing his head to look up at me. He gave me a curt nod and I turned to leave but his voice pulled me back to him.

"Aud."

"Hmmm?" I still didn't turn to him because I was scared that I can't control myself around him.
