Chapter 18

"Nothing's wrong," Daniel said loudly on the phone, waking me up.

"Daniel, baby, who's that," I said in my sweet morning voice, smiling at him. His eyes went wide and a girl's voice came over the phone, yelling. Daniel cringed and looked at me like I just killed someone. He put it on speaker and my eyes went wide.

"Who was that Daniel? Are you freaking serious right now? It's been like two days and you already found some side chick there? I knew I should've listened to everyone when they said that you're a player. You'd sleep with anything," Serenity's voice screeched, making me jump up.

"Serenity it's not what it sounds like okay," Daniel said through the phone.

"Then what is it? Who is it Daniel?"

"Mila, I crashed at their place after I helped Carlos with some business. Yeah yeah." He nodded his head at me as I laid my head in his lap.

"Why did she call you baby?" Daniel rolled his eyes.

"She calls everyone nicknames."

"I'm not convinced." He scoffed and pulled away from me to take the call outside. I sighed and sat up in the bed, pouting at him when he came back. My phone started to ring and I look at the caller I.D. It was Serenity.

"Why is she calling me Daniel," I start to freak out and he just kisses my forehead. I answer quickly. "Hey Serenity what's up?" My voice was high pitched and too friendly.

"I was just calling you to see how the show went!" Her voice sounded fake just like mine.

"Perfect! I loved it!" She laughed, it sounded forced and strained.

"Great! But oh my God, I was scrolling through Instagram and Twitter and there's so many pictures of Daniel with this mystery girl! She has blonde hair and like tan but I can never see her face, it's always down or looking at him. Any idea on who it could be?" I glare wide eyed at Daniel and put it on speaker. 

"Gigi Hadid!" I joked and I could sense her annoyance through the phone.

"Seriously? Okay, just keep an eye out or whatever."

"I got to go, Daniel just walked through the door." Daniel's eyes went wide as Serenity started yelling.

"Are you guys sharing a room together?" Her voice was so enraged.

"No! He just- just left his room key here! It was in my purse.  I'm really offended that you would accuse me of such things. Maybe it's none of my business what Daniel is doing, keep stalking on Instagram and maybe you'll find out yourself." I hung up on her and Daniel smiled softly at me.

"I'm sorry," He said and tried to kiss my head but I moved away. "What's wrong?"

"If you wanted to break up with her, that was your out." He just sighed softly at me.

"It's not that simple Aud."

"Don't call me that!" The only people that have earned to call me that ever were my parents.

"Why? You've never had a problem with it before." I glare at him, enraged.

"You know I've had a problem with it! You know that, no one had ever called me that besides my dead parents." He laughed at that.

"You always play the dead parents card in situations like this!" I was furious at the fact that he was saying this. I grabbed my suitcase and started throwing my clothes back in there. "Where are you going?"

"I can't be around you anymore Daniel, not today or tonight. I need time to cool off." He rushed over to me, cupping my face.

"Don't leave me baby girl. Please don't leave. I have to be with you." I sighed and shook my head.
