I wake up to the sound of two guys arguing. I roll over and bury my face in a pillow. Wait...didn't I fall asleep on the floor? Kaoru must have moved me after I fell asleep. I sit up and look around. There's no one in the room but me. I search for the source of the noise that woke up and realize that there are two boys outside the door of my room fighting. I stand up and wrap a blanket around my shoulders, shivering. I slowly make my way towards the door, being as quiet as humanly possible. I know I shouldn't, but I decide to listen in on the conversation outside. I press my ear against the white door and I immediately recognize the voices.

"Why do you have a problem with it?!" Kaoru whisper yells.

"You can't just bring some random girl home then sleep with her!" Hikaru retorts.

"It wasn't like that and you know it!"

"It doesn't matter what context you put it in, it's all the same!"

"No it's not!"

"Yeah it is, Kaoru! I have to tell mom." At this point there's a huge thump against the door as if someone slammed the other against the door. Well that escalated quickly.

"If you tell mom..." Kaoru hisses. His voice almost scares me.

"Why are you so concerned about this?" Hikaru asks. Kaoru sighs.

"Because I really, really like her, okay? Are you happy?" I step back. I never thought he'd say that to my face...well I guess he didn't really. I lean back to listen some more.

"Chill! I'm sorry, okay? I didn't know." There's a moment of silence before I see the doorknob starting to turn. I quickly and quietly jump back into the bed, pretending to be asleep. The door opens and I force myself to slow my breathing. I hear footsteps walking towards the bed. I then feel part of the bed sink as someone sits on it next to me. They sigh.

"Why can't I just tell it to your face?" Kaoru asks himself. I have to keep myself from smiling so I roll over onto my stomach. I hear him sigh, then stand up and walk out of the room. I wonder how long it'll take him to actually tell me. I place my bets inside my head.
