Chapter 8
My head throbbing as I slowly pulled my eyes open. The sky was dark and unfilled with stars or the moon. I realized I was still in the woods. Trees crashed in the night wind, animals moved around in the dark. A groan came from near by. I sat up slowly but realized I was laying on a pile of crushed leafs and the area around me looked like a tornado went through it. The groan sounded again and this time I foused to find were it was coming from.
I stood and started walking in the direction it was coming from. Again the groan was louder this time. It was Austin. I ran the rest of the way to him, cruching by his side. His chest was moving up and down slowly. What looked to be black ink spilled from his stomach, his hands clutching at a wooden stick that came out from the wound.
"Julia....I need... you to...pull out.... the stake...." Austin's voice came out low and raspy, pushing the words past his lips as some of the black liquid spladdered across his lips.
"Austin what if I can't do it." I bit down on my lip, letting my hands hover over his stomach where he held the stake in place.
"Please..." Austin begged, more liquid touching his unnormal colored lips.
I wrapped my hands around the stake, closing my eyes as I oulled it out of his stomach and through it to the side.
"There....see you... did it.." Austin's blood still flowed out of the wound.
"Austin, you're still bleeding." I could feel the tears pushing their way down my cheeks. I was scared. I then I had the strength to do something I had never done before and hoped it would help.
I pulled my sleeve back a little and pressed my wrist to his lips.
"Bite." I demanded.
"Julia.... No" Austin tried to push my wrist away but with little stregth from blood loss.
"Feed." I demanded again.
Austin was hesitant but let his teeth grase the area, finding a pulse and vain. When he had found a spot to his liking he bit down, sinking his fangs into my flesh. I held back the yelp in my throat. I wanted to heal him. .
I looked down at Austin's stomach and watched as it closed up and his skin turn back to it's normal color. Austin let go of my wrist and sat up.
"Let's get you back to the house." Austin lifted me up into his arms as I started to feel light headed.
When we got there the lights dance on the ground from the windows it shined through. Lexi meet us at the door with towels. I then realized that I was covered in blood. Austin stepped inside and everyone ran towards us, helping Austin wipe away some of the blood.
"Austin what happened?" Rebecca demanded as she helped move me up the stairs to a bathroom to take a shower and wash off all the blood.
"We were in the woods and Rider showed up. He can't touch her. Not without the necklace removed. Julia fanted so Rider went for me after he found the necklace on her, stabing me in the stomach with a stake. She woke up found me with the stake in my stomach and let me feed on her.' Austin answered.
"Julia, I'm gonna help you get washed up okay?" Rebecca sat me up on the toliet.
I nodded.
"I'm gonna help you get into the shower, you're gonna wash off then I'll help you find something to wear." Rebecca turned the knob on the shower and started the water.
I stood and started undressing as Rebecca helped me into the shower. Slowly I started washing my hair and body, making sure I removed the blood. I turned off the water and Rebecca was ready with a towel and robe. She wrapped the towel around my hair after handing me the robe. Rebecca had explained she was sorry about me not giving me some privcie but that Austin wanted to make sure that I didn't fall or anything and that she wasn't hitting on me in anyway, which I thought was funny.
Rebecca lead me into what was her room. It was done with a purple and silver color sceme. The walls were panted a purple with silver desings to it. There was no bed, which I guess made since, since vampires don't sleep and all. Rebecca had me dress in sweatpants and a white tee shirt.
After I was finsished getting dresses, I headed down stairs to find Austin. He was standing at the bottom of the stairs, dressed in sweatpants and a guys tank top.
"You look cute in my clothes." Austin smirked.
"These are your's?" I touched the shirt I happened to be wearing.
"Yeah." Austin laughed.
"Did you like get high off of my blood or something?" I asked.
"No, I just thought it was funny that I told Rebecca to find you something that would fit you and put you in something that's mine to try and be cute." Austin watched me closely with his hazel eyes.
"Well I'm tired. Will you take me home?" I asked, holding back a yawn.
"Your staying the night."
