Chapter 9- Sunlight

Chapter 9 (Rebecca's POV)

I sighed as I rolled over on the floor, my eyes looking towards my desk, where a picture of my parents sat in a light brown frame with in graved designs. I missed my family ever since the day Andrew changed me. They think that I'm staying with a far away family member and the good part of that was they had no real way to contact them and I couldn't really stay in touch.

"Rebecca, you okay?" Tyler asked from the door way, leaning against the frame of the door way, keeping his hands shoved in his pockets.

"I guess. When do you think I .'ll be stable enough to go back home?" Letting my blonde hair fall to the side.

"When ever Andrew says that your stable enough to go home. You look like you could use a hunt. Whatcha say?" Tyler flashed a smile that could make any girl melt.

"Sounds good to me. Sure you can handle a newbe?" I joked getting off the floor and rushing past him and down the stairs.

I was all the way to the back door when Tyler looped his arms around my waist, picking me up off the floor and spinning me around. Tyler set me to my feet and we ran out the back door and into the woods. Tyler beat me to the spot where we usually hunted.

"I think I oculd handle a new be. But can you keep up with the fastest hunter in the coven?" Tyler flashed another smile.

Something touched my hand. Something flashed past me. I looked at my hand. My daylight ring was gone. I looked around the area. My skin started to burn, a scream sepped out from my throat. Tyler looked at me with worried eyes. Tyler rushed towards me, pushing me into the shadows of the trees. I fell back bringing Tyler with me, hitting the ground with a hard thud.

"Oh my god Rebecca. Are you okay?" Tyler asked, hvering over me.

"I'm fine, just need my ring." I looked at my hand which was red and brown.

"I'm gonna go look for it, just stay out of the sunlight." Tyler got off me and headed to the area where I had lost my ring.

After a few minutes of looking Tyler headed back over where I was sitting on the ground. He put his hand into his jacket pocket, pulling out a long chain that held a red pentent. Tyler lifted it over my head letting it rest just over where my heart is. I looked into his eyes, just then I realized that Tyler was closer than I thought. His chestnut colored eyes stayed locked with mine. It must have been a few days since he feed. He leaned closer. My eyes fluttered shut, soft lips touched mine.

"What do you think your doing?" A voice all too fimilar nearly spat.

Tyler pulled away. His hand still resting on my hip. I turned my head meeting the cold black eyes of Andrew. Something was diffrent this time. When I looked at him I didn't feel like I should run up and hug him and tell him how much I loved him. Just that I didn't feel bad about kissing Tyler and I knew that me and Andrew weren't ment to be.

"She was burning." Tyler said.

"So that required you kissing her."

That's when all hell broke lose.


-Julia's POV-

"Thanks for coming and getting me, Austin." I said as we were leaving the hospital.

I had fainted in science and had hit my head. It was dissecting day. Ew.

"No problem. I was just worried about you." Austin lead me to his car.

"By the way can we stop by your house so I can get my jacket? I need it to go to my grand mothers this weekend." I asked, sliding into the passenger seat.

"Sure." Austin flashed a smile and starting the engine.

I tapped my foot to the beat of the music as we drove down the road. Hall of Fame by Script ft Will.i.am was blasting through the speakers. Soon enough the house came into view.

Austin got out and I followed him up to the door. Something was off. We called out for Rebecca but she didn't answer. Weird. We head to the back door. Stopping in our tracks.

The whole entrance to the backyard was torn apart. Rebecca looked like she was crying and Andrew and Tyler were throwing each other against many trees.

I stood there with my mouth wide open. Andrew took a look our way and turned, running into the trees. Tyler turned around, heading towards Rebecca. He took her face between his hands and kissed her.

My eyes were on the edge or falling out of my head. Austin was gaping at them.

"Explain?" Austin practically yelled at the kissing couple.

"We're in love." Rebecca said.
