Chapter 16- Heal Me

My eyes slipped open. Hazel brown ones looked back at me. Austin. Instantly my arms wrapped around his neck as I hugged him tightly to me.

"I need to heal you." Austin kissed my shoulder softly.

"What do you mean?" I asked, knitting my eyebrows together in confusion.

"Lexi scratched your face, leaving marks all over your face and across the top of your chest. I gotta heal you before they leave scars." Austin ran his finger tips over the nail marks that were slashed across my chest.

"How?" I watched his movements.

Austin took in a dragged breath before looking me in the eyes again.

"My blood needs to touch the scratches only made from a vampire. If it were something else you would just have to drink from me but this would damage your body." Austin explained.

I stood to my feet and ran to the mirror in the corner of the room. Sure enough, there was the marks clearly made across my chest and my face, my blood still rose to the open of my skin. I looked horrible.

"Okay." I whispered and turned around to Austin.

He stood slowly, taking slow steps before dipping his head to kiss me.

Austin pulled me away from the mirror.

"This isn't gonna be pleasant but I'll give you something for the pain after I'm done." Austin whispered, his voice was tight.

I nodded. Austin brought up his wrist to his lips, his eyes black as he bit into his wrist. Something about how black his eyes were scared me but in a way they looked beautiful.

"This is gonna hurt but Julia if there was any other way I would do it." Austin shook his head.

"Baby it's okay. Just do it." I whispered and placed a reassuring kiss on his cheek.

Austin took his wrist and held it over the first set of claw marks on my chest. A drop of blood fell, hitting my skin. I bit back a cry of pain as it stung and burned the skin, my breathing became ragged. He continued with the other marks before he started to fix my face. The whole time I held back the pain.

"Come here." Austin pulled me into his arms till my back was against his chest.

He brought his wrist up to my mouth. I slowly parted my lips before he placed his wrist against my lips as I sucked on his wrist. You would have thought it would taste like blood but it didn't, ur was sweet.

"Feel better?"

I nodded. Then my tears fell.

"Julia...." Austin whispered and hugged me against him.

I'm not quite sure why I was crying but it hurt my whole body hurt and I felt like I had just drowned in water.

Austin's fingers ran though my chestnut hair till I became silent. Then we decided to go down stairs. I didn't care about the blood, the wounds were gone when we looked into the mirror. Once we were down stairs we watched Tyler for a good while.

"Julia, he's connected to her. Everything they do to her, will happen to him." Austin said as he watched Tyler rake his fingers through his hair.

For the past 24-hours, Tyler has been in brutal pain. We guessed that they had staked her in the arm and leg for the pain he said was caused. Tyler had cried. He cried through it all and there was nothing we could do but watch it.

"Guys?" Andrew came running into the room.

"Yeah?"

"We have a request for Rebecca's return." Was all that he said to bring Tyler to tears yet again.
