As soon as their hotel room door was shut Connie and Jacob immediately threw themselves at each other their lips never letting go as they walked backwards toward the bed.
'Wait Jacob we need to shower.'
'Con really?'
Jacob said laughing at her,
'I never said you couldn't come with me.'
As soon as Connie finished her sentence Jacobs lips were latched straight back to hers, lifting her so her legs were around his waist.
They both began taking off each others clothes as Connie reached up to turn on the shower, Jacob following her in close behind.

(ngl but I'm not to great at them type of sections😅 so up to your imagination I guess😉)

After they had both finished in the shower Connie then got changed into a simple summer dress,
'Where are you off to sweet cheeks?'
'We are going out for dinner, come on we've only got another full day tomorrow off then back to work the day after so come lets make the most of it.'
'How is it that you always have a way of making me change my mind?'
Connie crept up onto her tiptoes and placed a long, but not to heated kiss on Jacobs lips,
'As well as being clinical lead, a mother, a famous cardiac surgeon, I'm also a witch who can instantly change people's minds'
Connie said laughing at him,
'Anyway come on, get changed or I'll go by myself.'
'Alright sweet cheeks, alright!'

Connie and Jacob were both ready and left the hotel, Jacob finally getting dressed after a good 15 minutes of winding up Connie.
'So sweet cheeks, could you say this is like that date that you rejected from me?'
'I suppose it is..'
Connie said lacing her fingers through Jacobs, Jacob looked down and smiles at her as they continued their walk up the seafront. After about 20 minutes of walking hand in hand together the pair found a small Italian restaurant.
'Hello, sorry we haven't booked anything but do you possibly have a table for two?'
Connie politely asked the waiter,
'Good evening, and yes of course where would you like? The balcony or inside?'
'Balcony shall we?'
Connie said looking up at Jacob for reassurance, he nodded as they followed the waiter out to a table set up on the balcony with a view across the seafront.
As Connie and Jacob both sat down and flicked through the menus the waiter bought over a bottle of Chardonnay, which they had previously ordered.
'Can I take your orders?'
'Yes I think we're ready, Con?'
'Umm yes, can I have the carbonara please?'
'Yeah, I'll have the bolognese, thank you.'
Jacob and Connie said handing the waiter their menus.
'See Jacob the idiot who filed that complaint has done us a favour really, we're down here having a great time, great weather, great food, perfect company.'
Connie said matching his eyes,
'See even though we didn't go to that silly conference we have both established that we don't hate each other, just that I'm a bitch.'
'Your not a bitch Connie.'
Jacob replied to her taking a sip of his wine.
'Oh trust me Jacob I hear the names they call me, ice queen is one I hear a lot? See there's only one nickname that I can just about stand, and that's none of this queen B business.'
Connie said looking up at Jacob who had a smirk across his face knowing exactly what nickname she liked.
'Alright sweet cheeks. So what do we tell Hansen if someone rings to tell him we aren't at the conference?'
Connie smiled at the use of the nickname that gave her butterflies.
'Well we just lie say they're mistaken and that it was great and informative and that we are now best friends.'
Jacob laughed at Connie as their food was bought over,
'Thank you.'

After finishing all of their food and consuming all of the wine Jacob had asked the waiter for their bill.
'Right Con I'm paying.'
'No your not Jacob, this is my apology for being such a bitch.'
'Nope Connie I will not let you.'
'But Jacob..'
'No buts Connie, I'm paying.'
'Thank you very much, I'm sure I can find a way to repay you later.'
Connie said with a smirk.

Jacob looked around as he pulled out Connie's chair for her to get up, how on earth could I kid myself into hating her? When the whole time I loved her so much, it made me hate her, Jacob thought to himself.
'Jacob?'
Connie took him from his thoughts, he was totally oblivious to what she had said to him.
'yeah?'
'Are you coming? Or are you going to stand there all night?'
'Oh right, sorry.'
Jacob had gone a lot more quiet as they walked out of the restaurant which didn't go unnoticed by Connie.
'Jacob what's wrong?'
'Nothing Con, don't worry about if.'
'If this is about today, if you want to pretend that this never happened I will understand, I mean if you want we can go, we don't have to stay.'
'No Con, actually the opposite, I'm just upset that it's taken us so long to come together, I mean, I've had a great day today.. with you, if you had said that to me a month ago I would've laughed you out of the room.'
Connie put her arm around Jacobs waist and leant into his shoulder,
'Well atleast we've found each other now.'

This update is a little bit longer but it's because I won't be able to post tomorrow sorry💗
