I'm so sorry for not updating🤐
I had my prom last night, so I've been sorting for that but,
this chapters a little longer just to make up for it💗Jacob had woken up the next morning to find the bed empty next to him, he looked to the clock:
8.56.
He looked around the room, no sign of her, he decided to then get up to look for her properly.
'Good morning sweet cheeks, what are doing out here?'
Jacob said as he put his arms around her waist, finding her standing outside of the room on their balcony.
'Morning, and I'm just thinking..'
'About what?'
Jacob said resting his chin on her head.
'About home, the ED, Grace... You.
Jacob I'm so scared, I can't lose you as well.'
'Hey Con, where's all this come from? Come here, your never going to lose me.'
Jacob enveloped her into a hug as tears began to fall from her eyes.
'Promise.'
'Promise.'
He had never seen her so vulnerable, he hated it, he hated seeing her cry.
'Right come on its our last day and I'm taking you out!'
'Where? there's no where else to go?'
'Just leave it to me, get changed I'll be back up soon.'
Jacob had been gone for about 20 minutes, Connie still having no clue what he'd planned,
'Sweet cheeks, you ready?'
'Yeah, now are you going to tell me where we're off too?'
'It's a surprise.'
Jacob had picked up all of his and Connie's bags already and put them in the car as their surprise date was on the way back home.'Jacob we've been in the car for almost an hour how much longer?'
'No longer than 30 seconds.. we're here.'
'Jacob it's a bloody field? what are we doing, birdwatching? I'm not some sort of pensioner with time to waste, I..'
'Con just get out of the car and come with me'
Jacob said watching Connie throw a strop next to him, they both got out of the car, and Jacob led Connie towards a fenced off field area.
Connie saw the blanket with the cushions, outdoor lights, food and drink all set up..
'Jacob, this is so sweet.'
Connie said as she leant in to give Jacob a kiss,
'Well I did say that I didn't want to waste our last day, so come on I've got us sandwiches and champagne.'
Connie followed closely behind him holding onto his hand, they both sat down together on the blanket, Connie leaning against Jacobs chest.
'Jacob I don't want to go back, I've loved these past few days here... with you, I hate that I spent so much time being silly and tedious, being horrible to you just because you showed the slightest bit of interest in me.'
Connie looked directly into Jacobs eyes as hers began to fill with tears, Jacob pulled her closer wrapping his arms around her. They had both devoured the food and drink, spending their whole afternoon talking together,
'Come on Con, I think it's best we head back, we've both got work early and I know my boss would hate it if I turned up tired.'
'I'm sure an exception could be made'
Connie said as she stepped up pressing her body against his, passionately kissing his lips.
Connie and Jacob walked hand in hand back to the car after packing away their picnic things,
'It's going to be strange seeing you in work and not being able to do this..'
Jacob said as he dropped the picnic blanket, lifting up Connie by her waist and passionately kissing her lips.
'Well then it looks as if we will just have to make the most of it now'
Connie said her lips barely leaving Jacobs as her hands were still wrapped around his neck and his resting in her bum.
'Well to try to ease your pain how about you just stay at mine tonight? We both have to be in early, we can stay at mine and drive in together.'
'Won't people think that a bit suspicious?'
Jacob said replying to Connie's suggestion,
'Well no, we just say that we had to stay in a hotel over night and we came straight to the hospital after.'
'Well Miss B that seems like a plan, now shall we?'
Jacob said finally putting Connie down, letting her get into the car, after Jacob had put all of their picnic stuff away they both began their trip back to Holby.
Connie rested her hand on Jacobs thigh as he continued to drive,
'So Jacob, would we say now that we're like.. I don't know.. seeing each other? But it's fine I mean if you just wanted to keep this casual or whatever... I don't mind, it's just I think we both need to know where we stand?'
Jacob reached down to grab her hand, keeping one on the steering wheel.
'Sweet cheeks, your the only person I'm interested in so if your tryna ask me if I'm sleeping with other women the answer is no.'
'Oh right, yeah I didn't really want to ask, not that I'm implying you can't, don't let me stop you, sleep with whoever.. well not whoever, I mean be careful.'
'Connie, would you stop babbling, it's cute but you have nothing to worry about, I'm hoping that your gonna be the only woman that I sleep with for a long time, but if you want to see other people too then go ahead?'
Jacob said giving Connie a questioning look,
'What no? definitely not, I'd rather it just be you I mean if your lucky.'
Connie said winking at him,
'So neither of us see other people yeah?'
Jacob said looking to Connie hoping for agreement in her side.
'Yes, that's fine by me.'
Connie replying back gripping into his hand smiling up to him.
'Well at least now I don't have to worry about Zoe, Robyn, Rita and especially Lily, their all over me.'
Jacob said earning a laugh from Connie,
'Yeah in your dreams muscles.'
'It's fine, I've got my girl right here.'
Connie felt instant butterflies, calling her "his girl."
