Connie woke up the next morning intertwined with Jacob, she felt his arm securely wrapped over her,  she had slept feeling safe and protected, for the first time in a long time. Connie looked over to the clock on the night stand:
9.34
Connie knew she should really get up but she didn't want to move out of the comfort of Jacobs arms. She thought back to last night and how after they got back from dinner they just lied in bed together endlessly laughing and talking until the early hours.
'Good morning gorgeous'
Jacob said his voice croaky as he had just woken up, I could get used to hearing that voice every morning when I wake up, Connie thought to herself.
'Morning, I'm sorry I didn't mean to wake up.'
'No it's fine, we really should be getting up,
Jacob said as he began to get out from the bed,
'Yeah we should but we don't have to.'
Connie said holding his hand pulling him back into the bed.
'I just wanna stay like this for a little while longer.'
Connie said as she nuzzles her head into Jacobs chest, Jacob kidding he lightly on the head as she did so, he put his arms safely around her.

After the two had both gotten out of bed and gotten dressed they had both decided to go into town and explore some of the shops.
'See sweet cheeks this course that we're on, otherwise now known as retail therapy has benefited both of us. I don't think should be so quick to jump to a no next time.'
'Yes but Jacob I have never had a complaint put in against me before, and to have it for my professionalism I think upset me more than anything, because I have had to do a lot of arse kissing and kicking to get where I am now.
But now where I am right now, with you I'm happy genuinely happy and I want whatever incompetent idiot who put the complaint in place to know that.'
Jacob then envelopes Connie into a hug holding her impossibly close, so that he could feel her breath against his neck.
'So sweet cheeks where are we off too?'
'That's go get some breakfast then we will be going shopping!'
'Right come on then'
Jacob said dragging her hand in his.
After the two had finished their breakfast in a cafe they had passed the night before, Connie took no time in hitting the shops.
By the mid afternoon she had bought two new dresses, a pair of heels, a new set of underwear, which Jacob thought was her best purchase, and a new blouse.
With being in most of Connie's shops throughout the day Jacob had only picked himself up a couple of new shirts, but he had only really come shopping for Connie's benefit so he didn't mind too much.
As the two took a stroll back from the shops Jacob and Connie dropped their bags back to the hotel going straight back out, not  wanting to waste anytime on their final evening away together.
Jacob and Connie had dat together at the same spot they shared their first kiss the day before, the both sat with a cup of tea and Connie's head leaning against Jacobs shoulder.
'Jacob..'
'Sweet cheeks?'
'I really don't want to go back tomorrow, I've had such a great couple of days.'
'Me too, but duty calls and I'm sure the boss wouldn't like me being late.'
'No, I hear that boss of yours is a bit of a bitch... but seriously Jacob, I've been so happy these past couple of days, I can't remember the last time I was this genuinely happy, and that's thanks to you. I really like you Jacob Masters, and no one has ever made me feel this way before.'
'I'm so sorry for being so mean to you Con, and I want to thank you too, I feel like you've let me in over these past couple of days and guess what?'
'what?'
'I really like you too Connie Beauchamp.'
Connie leant into him as they both laughed together, as it began to get darker the tide became to come in and it got a little colder.
'Come on Con, as much as I want to stay here forever with you we should be getting back maybe grab something to eat?'
'Yeah okay, I'm thinking we get some fish and chips and watch a movie because we have to be up early.'
'Connie Beauchamp very easily pleased I see, I never thought that would be something you would like to do?!'
'Well Mr Masters there's just so much you don't know about me.'
Connie said winking at him.
