Connie had spent her day in her office almost completing one of the  many piles of paperwork. Becoming unable to concentrate she decided to go grab a coffee for her and Jacob and go see him.
'Hey babe.'
'There's my favourite girl, looking as gorgeous as ever.'
Connie then noticed Rita and Robyn standing beside Jacob's bed trying to hide their laughter.
'Well I can see your dosed up on something?'
'He was complaining of pain after we removed his drain, so he's had some morphine, yes.'
Rita said replying to Connie's observation.
'Oh right, anyway what were you talking about? I interrupted sorry..'
'Yes we were saying to Jacob that he could be looking to go home tomorrow but, he has told us that he would have no one with him.
So we are going to keep him in for the next few...'
'Why don't you stay with me?'
Connie said looking towards Jacob,
'No sweet cheeks, I don't want to intrude.'
'Intrude on what? Jacob your staying with me end of.'
'Well if that's okay with you Mrs Beauchamp we could get Jacob out of here this evening seems as you know what your doing?'
'Yes that's fine by me, he's already got a bag of things, just let me go to my office quickly to grab some bits.'
As Connie walked towards her office she saw Charlie,
'Charlie I won't be in for the rest of this week, I have to take some personal days, I've got plenty of holiday which I will just use.'
'This wouldn't have anything to do with a certain staff nurse, would it?'
'He's staying with me whilst he gets better, I will see you next week.'
'See you then, oh and Connie, I'm happy for you.'
Connie gave Charlie a warm smile as she headed for office retrieving her paperwork, locking her office door for the week. She had decided to go to the staff room as she knew how fond they each were of Jacob. As she walked through the door she was met with, Lofty, Max, Big Mac, Louise, Lilly and Alecia
'Everyone, I would just like to inform you all that Staff Nurse Masters will be okay, and as I'm sure you know about me and him I will be taking some personal days to look after him. But in the mean time Dr Hanna will be in charge, until I'm back next week.'
Everyone gave Connie some smiles in return, followed by a few
'Give Jacob out best.'
Connie turned out to walk back into Jacobs room finding him dressed and ready.
'Hey babe, ready to go?'
'Yeah, your gonna have to help me into this thing, I'm gonna have all the lads taking the right piss out of me.'
Jacob said indicating the wheelchair next to him.
'No one will be making fun of you Jacob you could have died, and trust me as long as your with me they wouldn't dare, i don't care if it's just their banter or whatever..'
Connie began to go off on an annoyed rant.
'Babe chill out, all my papers are signed and as much as I like my job I don't really want to be in this hospital anymore.'
Connie threw Jacobs bag over her shoulder as she began to wheel him out through reception. They were meet by Noel, Louise, Charlie, big Mac and Max, who were all huddled around the desk.
'Look after him Mrs B' Max said as he nudged Jacobs shoulder,
'He can be very dramatic at times you've just got to learn to ignore it' Louise playfully joked to Connie.
'Oh trust me i already know that,'
Connie replied, watching Jacob roll his eyes.
'See you all later.'
Connie and Jacob said as they both left the hospital together..
