Eidee sat frustrated on the bed, her hands clutched around a pillow and hair tied up in a tangled pony tale. She breathed in and out telling herself to repeat the pattern over and over. She knew Louis was in the house. She'd heard him walk and listened to the footsteps in the hallway. But she still didn't move from her position.
"...I didn't mean it." Louis' voice came. Eidee didn't move at all, she stayed seated her back to Louis gazing at the photograph on the wall of her and Louis.
"When I told you to leave." He added. "Can we just sort this out."
"Can we?" Eidee shot back. "Look, we both know the solution to the problem it's up to you, what's more important. Seeing Eleanor or being with me?"
"Eidee-"
"Cut the crap," Eidee snapped turning around to face Louis. "Those are your options, me or her pick. It's not bloody hard."
"This isn't about me." Louis shot back. "You know I want to be with you and you know the only reason I see El is 'cause of Tellie."
"Really? Is that it?"
"Yes. Come on Eids, I know you hate that I see El I'd feel the same way if you saw one of your ex's. But this is for Tellie, I wouldn't ask you to put up with it otherwise. But Eidee, if the situation was the other way 'round. I wouldn't care."
"I know you wouldn't..." Eidee muttered. "And that's why I feel like I'm being a selfish bitch about it all."
"What d'you mean feel? You are acting like a selfish bitch about it."
"Thanks Lou."
"Look, can we get this sorted. Tellie's teacher pretty much threatened to call social services unless we stop fighting. Apparently this is effecting Tellie more than she's letting off."
Eidee sighed and layed back on the bed.
"How about," She started. "I take Tellie to El's. Tellie still see's her, but you don't. We're both happy."
Louis bit his lip in thought. Eidee was sure he'd reply instantly, but now the silence made her want to burst into tears.
"If Tellie'll let you." He shrugged. "She's pretty much scared of you since yoh slapped me in the face."
"Oh crap...I was wondering why she's been avoiding me..." Eidee muttered.
"If by avoiding you mean locking herself in her room and refusing to talk to anyone unless she has to then yeah thats why."
"Sorry..."
"Apologie accepted."
Tellie tiptoed down the stairs, listening carefully to see if there was any sign of Louis and Eidee fighting. But she couldn't hear anything...
"Daddy?" She called as she reached the final step.
"We're in here Tells!"
Tellie cringed at the word 'we're' automatically wanting to run upstsirs, but nevertheless she slowly walked towards the kitchen.
"Hi." She mumbled as she slowly took a seat at the table.
"Morning Tells," Louis said as he swiftly kissed her forehead and walked towards the doorway. "Eat then make sure you're ready."
Tellie nodded as Louis left the kitchen leaving Tellie alone with Eidee.
"Do you want toast?" Eidee asked sweetly.
Tellie nodded slowly shock painted all over her face.
"So, you excited to go to Eleanor's? Or would you rather go to Corey's party?" Eidee asked still using the same sweet tone.
