•EARLIER THAT YEAR•
"...Tellie, point your toes more!"
The seven year old pursed and her lips and pointed her toes more as she'd been instructed. She was slightly struggling to keep in her position but nevertheless stayed on the ground in the splits.
"How can you do that?" The blonde girl next to her asked. "It hurts so much!"
Tellie shrugged as the girl next to her go off the ground brushing down her tutu. She watched as Tellie did the split in awe, muttering about how she wished she could do it.
"Okay girls! We'll continue this tomorrow."
At her dance teachers words Tellie immediately slid out of the splits and got to her feet with a sigh of relief. Her legs ached from the hour long dance class wish had consistent of stretches and a very difficult routine which included the eight to ten year old girls class doing the splits, and not everyone was happy about it.
"Are you going to Corey's party?" The girl asked as her and Tellie walked to the bag wall that had bags lined up against it.
"Yeah, my dads making me." Tellie grumbled. "Are you going?"
"Yep."
"Why?"
"I like party's, don't you?"
"I like party's. But not Corey's."
The blonde girl looked at Tellie in confusion. She grabbed the bag with 'Jessie' embroidered on in blue thread.
"Corey's nice." Jessie said as Tellie grabbed her own bag from the floor looking shocked at Jessie's words.
"No he's not." Tellie muttered.
"Oh, my mum said I could have you over for a sleepover this weekend, she said she was gonna talk to your dad about it."
"He won't let me..."
"Why not?"
"He never lets me."
Tellie and Jessie walked out of the dance studio, talking lightly as they went into the foyer.
"Bye Jessie." Tellie said as her eyes landed on Louis.
"See ya Tellie."
Tellie walked towards Louis who was leaning against the wall awkwardly by himself. He was staring at his phone which Tellie saw as normal, whenever he picked her up from anything like dancing or school he would stare at his phone until Tellie would walk over to him, then he'd take her hand and stalk off with her eager to get away.
"Daddy..." Tellie mumbled, she chewed her lip watching as Louis looked down on her, shoving his phone into his pocket and taking his daughters hand.
"Come on, let's go." He muttered slightly tugging Tellie towards the doors, pulling his sunglasses down.
"Daddy, did Jessie's mum talk up you...?" Tellie asked softly as Louis lead her out into the parking lot her lip almost trembling.
"Yes, she did." Louis replied with a small laugh. Tellie looked up at Louis hopefully as she followed him through the parking lot. "What?"
"Can I go?"
"If you're good."
Tellie's eyes widened in shock as Louis stopped in front of his car, his keys already in hand.
"Really?" She asked her lips twitching into a grin.
"As I just said, if you're good you can go." Louis repeated, he felt weird saying the words, he wasn't fond of the idea of letting Tellie go to another persons house over night who wasn't family or one of the boys.
