Isobel hadn't been on a train since she was the dark haired blue-eyed young 5 year old that her father seemed to think she still was, it had been difficult for her parents, particularly her mum to visit DIstrict 4. Though Izzy was never sure why, she never told her anything. Nonetheless she was still trying to hold a grudge and not look too excited to be leaving District 12 for a while.
As much as Izzy loved the beach, leaving her home wasn't the problem, in fact, it was welcome, but she'd made plans with all of her friends, she just didn't understand her mum, she never understood. She wasn't in a good mood.
As the train travelled from district to district she couldn't help but glance out of the window wondering if her parents had ever been to District 7 or District 11, but Katniss didn't seem the type to want to travel so she assumed not. She came away from the window and tried to get some rest, the train was a 8 hour journey and she was tired from the early morning and packing.
She awoke strateld, rubbing her eyes, she just caught the end of an announcement, the train was now coming in to District 4 and they'd be pulling in to the station in approximately 20 minutes.
She was still groggy from sleep, but the idea of seeing District 4 in real life, instead of in magazines meant she didn't want to miss a thing. Sitting up to looked out of the train window.
'District 4' she breathed under her breath, earning her an odd glance from a very business-looking man, probably going to the Capitol she thought. She'd never cared what people thought of her. She turned her attention back to the window so as not to miss a thing.
District 4 was the complete opposite of 12. Sandy, golden beaches seems to stretch for miles upon miles, glittering seas like polished glass covered much of the landscape and the sun, it was so bright, the sky so blue, she was sure she'd never get bored of the sight. She had quickly forgotten about her grudges against her parents for sending her away.
As the train slowed and rolled in to the station, she came away from the window, she didn't want to seem to overly excited, afterall, she was 18 years old.

Mrs Everdeen glimpsed the train slowly rolling down the hill and in to the station. For a 78 year old woman, she'd aged well and didn't need any help walking and she could drive, she still looked similar. Except her previously blonde hair had muted to a silvery grey, and her face, the same blue merchant girl eyes and soft features, but just with some extra wrinkles indented on her cheeks and around her mouth.
She raised from her seat just as the train pulled in to the station, she was looking forward to seeing her granddaughter, she hadn't seen her in years - she couldn't quite remember how many, but Katniss had described her as a beautiful young girl and that she'd know her when she saw her. Despite her constant rows, Katniss really did love her only daughter, it was just going to take time for Isobel to realise that. Absence makes the heart grow stronger!
As the train came to a halt, and the doors flung open by attendees, a flurry of people came out of the doors, like waves on a shore. Most likely people coming for their holiday thought Mrs Everdeen.
As the initial rush and flurry of activity died down, Mrs Everdeen looked about the crowd for her granddaughter. Sure enough, Katniss was right, you could spot her from a mile off amongst the holiday makers. Long dark hair tied back loosely in a braid and there was no mistaking her eyes, as blue as the ocean - and just as versatile. Exactly like Peetas, but with Katniss' sharp attention and narrowing gaze. Hunters eyes, she thought.

As Izzy left the train and stood on the platform, the heat hit her like a bus, wow it was warm, she was still wearing her clothes from home, and despite them only being a vest top and jeans, along with her mothers old hunting jacket, she was boiling.
Dad wasn't kidding when he said it would be warmer here she thought tiredly.
It was then she heard someone call her name.
'Isobel? Isobel Mellark?'
She turned her head to see an old woman. Small in stature but strong in stance. There was no doubt in her mind - she was looking at her grandmother.
'Grandma?'
'Isobel!' The old woman said hugging her, 'I knew it was you, you're just as beautiful as your mother said, you look very like her you know!'
'Yeah, I get that a lot' She said, despite how much her and her mother clash, they were so similar, it was uncanny.
'Lets go shall we, catch up in the car, it's about a 20 minute drive back to my house, we need to set you up a room.'

The car journey, Isobel had expected to be awkward, however, Mrs Everdeen, or Carrie as she'd said she could call her, was easy going and seemed that at one time she could've been shy, but she had seemed to grow out of that as she'd aged. She was now polite, but humourous and obviously very kind. They got on well.
The house, as she'd expected, was clean but cosy and seemingly very big for an elderly lady.
It was white, with a front porch, built out of a mixture of wood and stone. The roof was tiled grey and it was in a secluded bit of the district. Izzy had noticed that a lot of the houses were spread out around the district, allowing privacy, but also close enough that there was one within a 5 minute walk.
Inside, the kitchen was as soon as you stepped in to the house, with a breakfast bar and normal surfaces, oven and fridge. The living room next to it was small and dropped out on to the front porch. There were three rooms upstairs, two en-suite and one spare. One was Mrs Everdeens:
'And this one is yours' Mrs Everdeen said as Izzy put her case on the kind-sized bed.
It was blue, all of it, and white. The bed covers were a light blue with a white hem, the walls were a matching mid-blue with white shelves stacked with books, there was a wardrobe, made out of wood and a small desk, also made out of wood with a chair with it. The bathroom was simple, with blue walls and white shower, toilet and sink accompanied with a mirror.
'I hope this is okay, it's all I have. Sorry there's not television, I've never had the need for one in my room, but there is one downstairs.' Mrs Everdeen explained.
'No, no, it's lovely, perfect.' Izzy said actaully smiling, for she felt genuinely happy. 'It's all that I could ask for.
Looking pleased Mrs Everdeen smiled and said 'Well, I'll leave to to make yourself at home, feel free to explore the beach, and go fro a swim if the heats getting to you. You will get used to it.' she said shooting Izzy a sympathetic look.
'Dinners at 7:30' she said over her shoulder as she walked downstairs.
Izzy shut the door and flopped down on the bed, she was asleep before her head hit the pillow.
