Ajalon.

When I arrived at the police station I wasn't immediately put into a holding cell like I've watched on those prison shows, the officer who arrested me escorted me to a room in the back where I saw my father sitting in the chair looking down at his phone.

His nonchalant attitude made me more upset then pissed that he had reported my car stolen but yet I still wanted me him to love me. Once I sat down in the chair across from him, he looked up from his phone then shook his head with disgust.

"Ajalon I've given more then I should've while you were growing up and you slap me in the face as a 'thank you'?" His voice was cold and unapologetic.

"Nothing I ever do is good for you, absolutely nothing. I try my hardest to get you to love me but you get pleasure out of beating me and watching me suffer but no that's isn't enough for you." by now the endless tears streamed down my face as I poured my heart out to the only man I've looked up to my whole life.

"You were never suppose to be born." He spat looking me straight in my face. "The day your mother had you was the worst day of my life, the last seventeen years I've had to spend with you have been hell but that's about to change." He sneered.

Just as I was about to question him the police officer who brought me in the station came through the door then hoisted me up by my arm.

"Why do you hate me so much!" I screamed out with snot and tears running down my face.

The officer dragged me into the lobby where a woman with a navy pant suit stood with a brief case and a pair of D&G sunglasses. Her auburn hair was pulled into a neat pinwheel bun and as soon as she saw she gave me a warming smile.

"Officer you can let go her now." The woman said still smiling but now looking at the officer.

"The little bitch is annoying anyway." He mumbled taking off my cuffs then disappearing behind a black door.

Rolling my now puffy eyes I turned to the woman before still unaware of who she is and why I'm standing here.

"Miss Cooper I'm Christina Vasquez and I'm with social services. Your father informed us that you've been belligerent and uncontrollable so he's signing his rights over to us and you'll be placed in a group home until your eighteen and legally able to care for yourself."

As Christina kept talking I zoned out and everything she was saying was silenced and only her lips we're moving. My father has hated me since I was born and wasn't even remotely happy about my birth. I can't even process this type of information and this lady telling I'm being sent to a group home until I'm eighteen is just the cherry on top of the sundae.

Absent mindedly I followed the lady to her all white Mercedes-Benz and she clicked the button to unlock the doors and she slid in. I was hesitant to get in this stranger's car but since according to her I didn't have a choice for the next ten months. We drove until we pulled up to my house, a police officer escorted me inside the house where Christina ordered me to pack my clothes and anything else I would need for my permanent leave. After I was done and we had walked out of the house my so called 'father' was pulling up but didn't step out of the car until I was inside of Christina's car and we were pulling off.

"Aja the lady you'll be staying with is Ms. Debra. You'll be sharing a house with three other teenagers."

"Its Ajalon." I said simply while staring out the window looking at all the bright lights quickly passing by looking the motion appear blurry.

She stayed quiet the remainder of the ride until we pulled up to a two story brick house with a girl about fourteen sat on the steps writing something in a journal.
