Kario.
Aja was still knocked out and everybody else was gone, probably last minute christmas shopping and the stores were most likely packed because it was Christmas eve. I got up showered and dressed in a pair of sweat pants and a black t-shirt then went downstairs and made breakfast.
Just as I was flipping the last pancake Aja came downstairs dressed in a pair of leggings and a black hoodie. Her hair was curly and all over her head but she still looked beautiful.
"Morning babe." I kissed her cheek and pulled out her chair. "How you feeling?"
She chuckled. "Like shit."
"My baby's first hangover."
Aja smiled. "Shut up butthead, what did you cook?"
I shook my head. "I got'chu spoiled already."
She leaned up and pecked my lips. "I still love you."
Ajalon and I told each other we loved one another last night and I meant every word. She seems like the only person who understands me sometimes and I truly appreciate her for listening when no one else would. She's everything I could ask for and more.
"Ajalon, I don't want you to think I said I love you because I felt like I was suppose to, I love everything about you and admire you for being independent and staying strong throughout everything you've been through. You're my best friend and girlfriend wrapped in one. My mother told when I was little that when I fell in love, I'd feel it and baby I feel that with you."
"I love you too Kario." She kissed me, wrapping her arms around my neck.
We smiled at each other then kissed a couple more times.
"You ready to eat?"
"Yes babe."
I fixed her plate with two pancakes, scrambled eggs, bacon, southern style hash browns and a cup of apple juice.
"Awe babe, this is so good."
"I know, ya' man can cook." I ate a fork full of hash browns.
She playfully rolled her eyes and we finished eating. After we got done, we cleaned up and Aja packed her bag so I could take her home.
"Call me later." I kissed her lips. "You still coming over tomorrow?"
"Yes for thousandth time babe. I'll call you tomorrow."
"Okay, I love you."
"I love you too." She kissed me again and climbed out of the truck.
Before going back home, I had to swing by the mall and pick up Ajalon's gift.
"Pick up for Davis." I told the woman jeweler behind the case.
"Of course." She smiled then disappeared in the back.
To distract myself, I logged into my Facebook for a minute then signed out.
"Here you are hun, would you us to wrap it?"
"Yes ma'am, all pink and glitter please."
The woman chuckled but wrapped the small box in all pink glittery paper. She handed me the gift bag and I paid for the purchase. I walked out of the mall and to my truck but before I went home I drove around the city looking for my mom. She hasn't been home in almost two weeks and truth be told I was started to get a little worried. I drove to some of the spots she usually get high at but ain't nobody seen her. Frustrated, I sat in my car banging my fist against the steering wheel. I felt like a little kid all over again, walking trying to bring my mom home. This shit is definitely getting old but she's my mother and as much as I want to give up a part is still fighting to get her well again. So I pulled out my phone and called Zeus, at the party last night he told me this nigga name Phil was the king of the Miami streets and he'd know where my mama was.
