After dinner, Jordan said goodbye to everyone. We both jumped into my beat-up truck.

"Wow, Alex! Your family's one of a kind. Brent was trying to hit on me the whole time. He's so stupid," she grabs my attention, "And, hey, don't let him get to you, Alex." I nod my head. That's when her lips touch mine again. My heart starts to beat out of my chest. I love her so much and Light can't do anything about it. She takes off my glasses and throws them in the back. I pull her closer to me. No one interrupts us. She runs her fingers through my hair making a chill run down my spine. I slowly grab the key and put it in the ignition. The car starts and we stop kissing. Her hearts beating fast just like mine.

"Ready to go home?" I ask. She nods her head as I grab my glasses and put them back on so I can see.

She's fallen asleep in the passenger's side. I smile at her. She's cuddled into ball. We're almost to her house. I got lost twice trying to find her house.

I hope she enjoyed tonight. My foster family can be very weird at times. Brent trying to steal her. She's my girl, now. Wow, that sounds so weird. Mental note: Don't ever call Jordan your girl. I think it just sounds so awkward.

She opens her eyes a bit and asks, "Are we almost their?" I nod my head, keeping my eyes on the road.

"Sorry for falling asleep. I'm just so tired from today," she says.

"Don't be sorry. I'm a bit tired myself, too," I say, yawning a bit. She smiles.

"Thanks for the meal, Alex. Your the best," she says, sitting up to kiss my cheek. I blush a bright red. Thank god it's dark outside.

"No problem," I say. She goes back into the shape of a ball and falls asleep. I watch her, careful not to take my eyes off the road for too long. I can't keep my eyes open and I fall asleep.

I wake up to find my truck in a ditch. No, no, no, no, no! This can't be happening. This can't be happening! At least the truck is upright. Glass is everywhere. I notice that a piece of glass is stuck in my right thigh. Pain. So much pain runs through my right leg. I yelp from the pain. I try to pull it out but it makes it hurt even more. The Gods or Light must of done this. Screw me.

"Jordan," I whisper. I try to shake her awake but, she won't budge. Don't say she's dead. I can't have another important person in my life die. I yell for help. I yell because I don't want to have killed my girlfriend. I don't want her blood on my hands. But, it is. Bruises are on her arms from the crash. A piece of glass is lodged into her forehead. Screw me.

I quickly grab my phone and dial 911.

"Hello, this is 911. What's your emergency?" A man says on the other line.

"I just... My truck's in a ditch right now. I don't exactly where we are," I say, panic in my voice.

"Okay, calm down, sir. Who is also in the truck with you?"

"My girlfriend, Jordan Weaver. And I'm Alexander Green. I was driving to her house when I accidentally fell asleep at the wheel. We're very close to her house. We're very close," I say.

"Thank you, Alexander. We'll be on our way. Are you injuries?"

"Yes. A piece of glass is lodged into my right thigh and another piece of glass is lodged into my girlfriend's forehead."
