Wait It Out

It's a waiting game
As the clock tick ticks away
Waiting for sleeping pills to bring sleep and tears to shut eyes
Because nothing else brings peace like the calmness of sleep

I feel like pulling out all my hair
I feel like breaking down and up and right and left because nothing is right side up anymore
And there's no clear solution

Anguish invades a pure heart tonight
And I sit cautiously as I wait for the water to spill
I'm falling apart inside

Moments flash and memories spark

This perfect person
Doesn't deserve this
But their belief differs from the truth
And some people are getting too frustrated

I just hope that they can reach the pillow tonight
And make it to tomorrow night
But it's just a waiting game
It's all just a game
And loss will leave a gaping hole in my heart
