Okkay, this chapter is weird also. Sorry :(

I realized Paris may be right by morning. I awoke to a horrible yell, something that sounded like,
“Ready the ships to battle!” I blinked sleepily, and swung my legs over the side of my bunk, and slid to the floor. I felt dizzy still from the recent whirlwind of events, especially Charybdis and Scylla. Saving Theseus from Scylla had taken all my strength, and I still felt weak and lightheaded, even after a good night’s sleep. Maybe it was the thought that I would have to face a day, possibly even worse than the last one. I wasn’t really ready for any of that kind of stress again. An attack every five minutes for a full day was enough monsters to last me a lifetime. Only then did I remember that we still had to face the beast in the labyrinth. Then I wouldn’t have to face anymore beasts, because I would die. That was comforting and horrifying at the same time.
I stumbled to the door dazedly, and threw open the door to the hallway, then opened the door to the actual deck, and blinked in the bright sunlight. All seemed peaceful, especially the island approaching. It glowed with warmth, and looked like a tropical paradise to me. But I had not lived through a full day in this sea to be fooled that easily. Unless it was Crete, which I did not believe for a second, since it was barely big enough to be called a substantial island, instead of just a large rock. It was covered in flocks of nice-looking goats and sheep that I figured were the least of our worries. My mouth watered at the mere sight of them though. Fresh meat! They meandered along, in no hurry to go nowhere, and I wanted to get just one, and roast it over an open fire, and eat it! Only one, I promised myself. Then I caught myself angrily. That was the point of the goats probably- to lure hungry sailors in to feast- then the hungry sailors get eaten themselves, by a hungry who-knows-what. Will we ever get a break from these things? I didn’t have high hopes for us. I looked around in the salty breeze, and caught the eye of the sailor who I guessed had been the one who shouted. He looked alarmed at the sight of the unknown isle, and was as frightened as I. Who knows what would be there for us to try and survive through. The odds were entirely in the monster’s favor, and we would be lucky to escape. But then I remembered that we were sentenced to die either way, so I just looked around lightly, and headed back to the prison room that I now called home. Let it try and eat us I thought tiredly. And that’s just what it did.

We first heard the roaring right when the current stopped pulling us in. Everyone woke with a start, except me, because I was awake and enjoying some minutes to myself. Theseus sat up suddenly upon hearing it, brandishing his fists defensively.
“Wha-? What is it?” he blubbered confusedly when he first sat up. It was all I could do not to laugh at him. Maya groaned and said
“What now?” I didn’t tell any of the, that I had seen it coming, because they would be mad at me for not giving them any warning. Minimal fighting would be helpful now. Paris could not move, as his ribs were still on the mend, but his face fell when everyone else started getting up.
