"Wasn't that fun?" Rosie speaks up, breaking her happy skip but still holding my hand.
"Yes it was- and happy birthday again!" I give her a small smile.
We walk back to the house filled with happiness, but at the same time with a tsunami of drowsiness washing over us. The evening sun is beginning to set over the horizon, birds still chirping, cars zooming past us walking hand in hand. It all feels like a cliche story where everything around us is tumblr and part of a fairytale. But it should be enjoyed for as long as it lasts because in those stories there's always the evil creeping up just to pounce on you and destroy things. Except- in cliches, things always end like you'd want them to end, happily and laying out a bright future in front of you- but in reality, nothing is for sure.
As we approach the front door I notice an unfamiliar car parked in the driveway. It's a shiny, black Mercedes looking newer than a newborn. Except it's a car...But enough with the details.
"Who's that?"I question, unlocking the door. The two people in the car remain seated and look out to us, which creeps me out.
"You'll see, get inside" Alex sends me a small smile while Rosie and I take off our shoes and jackets.
I make my way into the kitchen to make some tea, it got a bit chilly as the evening came. I can't help but begin to overthink again- who were those people? Why were they here? They looked quite suspicious to me, but I guess we've come to the point where our trust for Alex has grown and I know he wants the best for us so maybe he planned this. I mean of course he did- otherwise his face would be just as puzzled as mine.
It's frustrating how we can't turn off extra thoughts, they drain the energy from me. Waiting to see what happens is a better way for me to figure out what's going on, but obviously my brain decides to do the opposite and try come up with things. Sometimes I end up on a totally different topic like -" What if giraffes lived in jungles? And how long would they survive?" - then I'd probably contemplate that for an hour until moving onto something else.
I distract myself by making the tea, as carefully as possible so I don't spill the burning liquid on myself like every other time. I'm clumsy like that.
"Hey Chloe!"
Oh yay.
I can't get away from this so I'll have to take the risk and go.
"Hi I want you to meet Miss Berry and-" he begins when I enter the living room.
Miss Berry. I didn't recognise her when she was in the car because the windows are darkened.
"Oh hello dear it's nice to see you again!" she chirps out.
"You too, how have you been?"
"Great actually-"
"You know each other?" Alex looks caught off guard by our informal conversation.
"Yeah, we met at a train station and Miss Berry was really kind to bring us to New York with her husband. So thank you again." I thank them once more because their gesture meant heaps to us.
"No problem sweetheart. Now, do you want to sit down and we can talk for a while? I have some things I need to tell you. Some things I didn't realise...Because you look different to what you did when you were little..." she trails of for a moment, thinking - "Alex found us and told us who you are."
"But you already kind of know right?" I ask.
"Yes of course, but I mean - who you are to us." she points to herself and her husband.
I just stare at her, still not knowing what she's on about.
"Dna tests have to be done but we're more than sure that you and Rosie are our daughters." she blurts out.

I'm sorry. Lo siento. Przepraszam. Ta bron orm.
Um that's all I know...Oops.
Writers block hasn't left me yet so that's why there was a delay- also because I procrastinate too much.
I hope you liked this at least a tiny bit...This story is coming to an end very soon.
P.s - Lucy Hale (gif) is Chloe but you can imagine her differently if you want x
Until next time,
