and that's when i woke up.

i got up from my bed and silently walked to the door of jungkook's room. it was slightly open, and he was on his laptop.

i knocked. "jungkook?" my voice was shaky.

"hm? do you-" he looked up and his eyes widened. "are you crying..?" he put his laptop down and got up and walked up to me. i nodded my head.

i latched onto his waist as the tears continued to fall down my face. he wrapped his ams around me.

"hey, it's okay.." one of his hands moved up and down slightly on my back, and the other was placed on my head.

"h-he was alive and o-okay and- i just really miss him.."

"i miss him, too. it's okay.."

he let go of me but held on to my wrist.

"c'mon, we're gonna go watch your favorite movie and cheer you up."

"what time is it?"

"almost 2 in the morning-"

"why are you still up? you have classes tomorrow.."

"you are so much more important."

he led me to the couch and i sat down, but i stopped him before he could walk into the kitchen.

"i-i'm not hungry, just come sit with me.."

after almost an hour, my tears started to flow once again.

"i'm sorry.."

"don't apologize." he uncrossed his legs and let them dangle off the sofa.

"here. lay down."

"but-"

"just lay down, areum."

i laid down across his lap.

"jungkook, what are you doi-"

"shh, just close your eyes and listen."

so i did.

one of his hands softly twirled pieces of my hair as he sang. the other took hold of one of mine gently.

when he stopped, he took hold of my other hand, his touch just as gentle as it was before.

"jungkook.." i open my eyes, but more tears fell from my eyes.

"yah.." he wiped them away as he laughed softly. "the whole purpose of that was to stop you from crying.."

"that was.. beautiful, jungkook."

"thank you." he smiled.
