Dyl's POV-

I was sitting in my tree house for two hours thinking about whatever happened today. Ava's words were swirling in my mind. What I did today was low…hell .it was the lowest of low…but still she was going to help me. How could anyone be so selfless? Amber is her cousin -my Amber…my baby.

I met Amber two years ago at a camp. She was beautiful –so so serene. Her blonde hair was flowing right by her face; just one look and bam, I was gone. She was the most beautiful girl I had ever seen. We were partners; we did every task together. Everything.

We became friends then lovers until the last day of the camp when she thought that long distance relationships never worked. I was so heartbroken after she dumped me. She was in tears and so was I. My first love. I know why she did it, she was scared of the distance. That it would ruin what we had. I wanted to assure her, tell her that we will work it out but she left without a goodbye.

Thinking about the past was something that I didn't do often; it was painful. I wanted my Ambi back and now knowing that she was cupcake's cousin, was my first step towards her. I’d fix everything. Oh yes.

"Dude. I swear you are behaving like a hermit today. Come down you buffoon.” Brandon shouted.
I climbed down immediately knowing it so clearly that this idiot; also known as my best friend; would clearly blow my ears off until I did what he wanted at the moment.

"So what happened? After you shouted like a mad man at Ava and then apologized. What happened? What did she say?" He asked me, taking a bite of the apple he was eating.

"She's Amber's cousin," I whispered.

"What! Your Amber. The camp girl, right? Man, that's…wow. Oh oh, one second, you went there to apologize, so where did this Amber angel come from?" He was confused.

There was a thing, I couldn't hide anything from Brandon. He was the only guy who I could trust without any doubt. We were best friends since we were born. Yes, since we were born. We had the same birthday, were born at the same hospital and were placed in one big crib together there. And our crazy mothers are best friends. Well, you can imagine the rest.
I told him everything from the start; about Ava's confession to what happened at the field where she said those things to me.

To say he was stunned would be an understatement.

"Really. I mean she loves you but she will help you to get to Amber even after all that you did today. Because that will make you happy and seeing you happy will make her happy. Damn man this chick is awesome and selfless and just…too nice."

"I know. I know that. The way she said it all, that helping stuff, she seemed so sincere and serious like it was the only motive of her life. Now you know the first thing I will do tomorrow is apologize to her. Publicly. In front of the whole Cafeteria." I replied.

"What uh good. I'll be there to cheer you up if she blows off on you." And then he started laughing like an Idiot after saying that. I don't know why the hell he was laughing.

"Man, you are whipped. She will help you get to Amber; that's why you are doing all this. I know all this apology stuff, one time is enough for you. You want to make her happy because you have a doubt that she will step back from her words.” He said sensing my annoyance at his laughter.

"You know what, yeah that's right! That’s the truth." I said finally admitting the truth to him. I was a selfish person, I know, but I apologized today because I actually felt guilty. But this whole cafeteria thing was a plan so she’d be happy. Just to be on the safe side.

"Yeah go on with it. Just don't hurt her again. She is a nice girl." He added.

"I know and yeah I won't. She is nice. I won't." I said and yeah I won't hurt her. I just want my Amber back and she is the only person who can help me to get her back. Thanks,cupcake. Thank you.

Hmm .quite selfish Dy is a twisted one lolzz lets see what the future has in the bag for him.
