I stretched on the couch putting on Tanked and watching in awe as the guys built a corner unit for their customers.
"I want a Nemo fish." I stated.
"You're such a three year old." Gabe laughed.
"I'm totally dragging you to see Finding Dory with me." I warned him.
"Please Raiyne don't." He laughed.
"You're in for it now Landy." I laughed.
--
I laid sideways on the bed, making it impossible for Gabe to get in without kicking me.
"You take up the whole bed." He groaned.
"Do something about it." I teased.
He laughed, laying me straight finally leaning closer to me his blue eyes going steely. His lips dipped towards mine and I kissed him slowly, pulling him on top of me.
He stopped, frozen and then climbed from the bed the door slamming behind him as he stormed out.
My eyebrows creased and I curled into a ball, tucking the pillow underneath my head. Then stood, locked the bedroom door and fell asleep on top of the covers.
--
"Come on Raiyne open the door!" Gabe called, waking me.
"Fuck off!" I retorted, tossing a pillow at the door and rolling over.
--
I opened the dressing room door, throwing my uniform at a cubby and pulling my sweater tighter over my body.
"What's up?" Ryan asked.
"I feel like shit." I replied.
He opened his arms, and I crawled into them resting my head on his shoulder and closing my eyes to his steady heartbeat.
--
"What the hell are you doing?" Gabe's angry voice came from above me.
"Dude, quiet down she's sleeping." Ryan said quickly.
"She's my girlfriend, why the hell is she with you?" He growled, and I flinched.
"She doesn't feel well, why are you being a dick?"
I couldn't take it anymore and I pulled the hood over my head groaning as their loud voices made my head pound.
"Way to go." Ryan said, lifting me and placing me in the chair and I whimpered.
"What's wrong?" Gabe asked.
"I feel like shit." I replied, curling in on myself.
I could feel his hand reach out to me.
"Don't touch me, get the hell away from me." I said coldly.
Gabe POV
Her words came out harsh, and she stood walking out of the room, disappearing.
I ran a frustrated hand through my hair and sighed, nothing was going right. My own girlfriend didn't want me around and I felt like an ass.
"What did you do to her man?" Matt asked shaking his head.
"I don't wanna talk about it." I mumbled.
--
I got my ass beat, again. I tossed all my things into my cubby, and pulled on my sweats, grabbing my keys and heading for my car.
--
"Babe, just open the door." I said, knocking again.
"What do you want!?" Raiyne practically yelled.
Her sweats hung off her body, face pale and eyes dark as she opened the door. I pulled her into my chest, tucking my face into the crook of her neck.
"Are you ok?" She asked.
"I'm fine." I mumbled, pecking her forehead.
"Why are you here?"
"Cause, I brought soup." I tried.
"I'm not hungry." She mumbled.
I kept an arm around her waist and smirked.
"Then I'm here, just to be here." I told her.
She nodded, then went back into the living room, comforters and pillows tossed on the couch along with Transformers playing on the TV. I crawled under a blanket, then pulled her to my body.
"I hope you feel better." I whispered in her ear.
"I hope so too." She said coughing.
I drew patterns on her hip, her sweater creeping up her ribs as I whispered meaningless things over her skin. Raiyne's breathing deepened, and small snores escaped her body, I laughed to myself, then pressed my lips to her neck.
"I love you Raiyne, and I won't let anything hurt you, not even myself." I said quietly, closing my eyes as well.
