Gabe POV

It had been two weeks and between hockey, volleyball, work and working out Raiyne was drained, half asleep practically dead on her feet. Surprisingly I had dragged her to Jamie's.

"Raiyne!?" Matt snapped.

Her head flew up from where she had laid on the couch, resting her head on Jamie, half asleep.

"I'm awake!" She announced.

"You're dead." Jamie laughed.

She stood, stretched and then slid to the ground beside me, laying so her head rested on my chest, "I'm just resting my eyes."

"What's up this week?" Ryan asked her.

"Volleyball, hockey scouts and 15 k." She mumbled, eyes fading fast. "I'm so sick of being tired all the time."

"We can cut down on the work outs." Matt said.

"No! Have you seen the difference in two weeks. I feel great, I just ache."

"What difference?" Ryan scoffed.

"Lay down." She said, standing.

He looked at her like she was crazy and she pointed, and he laid down obediently. She grabbed his jeans in one hand, then a handful of his shirt.

"Ready?"

He nodded, in one swinging motion she had him above her head, and then dangling over her shoulder.

"Holy shit." He gulped.

He was placed back on his feet, "Take off your shirt."

"Why am I always told to take off my shirt? What if I like my shirt?" She argued.

He ripped the sweater from her body and she stood like a statue, "Come on, show us."

She glared, kicked her feet up and held herself in a handstand, then did push ups. The muscles in her arms and back moving together.

"I'm kinda freaked out." Jamie laughed, "That's really hot though."

"Dude." I said.

"Come on!" Jamie laughed.

"Shut up, both of you." Raiyne laughed, then sat in between my legs, grabbing a PS controller.

I laughed and wrapped my arms around her waist.

"Maybe you were right, maybe I coulda changed, sitting here alone tonight thinkin' bout a lot of things, but what's a man to say when all the questions start?" Raiyne sang lightly. "Hell I know deep down, inside my broken heart. Coulda tried a little bit harder, kissed you a little bit sweeter. Hung on just a little bit longer, dug down just a little bit deeper, let the world revolve around you, given you the stars about. Maybe if I loved you just enough to make you stay, hell I'd a lost you anyway."

Her voice was soft, no music just her voice and the sounds of the controller clicking.

"I hate it when it's like this, baby it's like that now. Nothing I could say to you, you'd even care to talk about. How you gonna dress it up? Wrap it in a pretty bow, when it's gone it's gone for good."

"You're really good." Matt said quietly.

"Sorry, it popped into my head." Raiyne murmured.

"Keep going." I whispered.

"Guitar?" She asked.

Ryan fumbled around with a few things and then handed it over to her, she sat a bit straighter and then strummed a few chords.
