Once a while

Chapter 4

I was in my room when Chloé came in telling me I had some visitors.

My mom and Shawn, they are married now, I'm so happy for them, my mom is so happy since she's with Shawn and Shawn is really like the father I never had.

"Hi mom, Shawn !"

"Maya we were so worried for the past two months, what happened ?"

"Lucas or Riley didn't tell you ?"

"Lucas didn't say a word and Riley told us that when you broke up with Charlie you gave him a ride and you had an accident with him"

"Who told her that ?" What the heck ?! None of this happened... Does Riley know the story but lies to my mom and Shawn ?

"She said Lucas told her, she said he saw your car and when he got closer he saw you and Charlie so he called the ambulance"

So Lucas lied to them... Why ?

"Oh okay... Well I didn't know what I was thinking, I gave him a ride to his house since I didn't want him at my apartment, and bam... Accident happens"

My mom nodded and Shawn gave me a questioned look,
"Hey Shawny ! I'm okay don't worry"

"Okay kiddo, we better go Katy, Maya, you have some visitors waiting for you"

I nodded as they left.

The the door opened and I saw Topanga, Cory, Auggie and Josh.

"Hey Maya" said Topanga

"Hey topi, I missed you guys"

"Don't say that, we all missed you" said Cory

"Hey Maya"

"Hey josh" oh my god Josh... Biggest crush on earth

"Are you better ? Do you need anything ?" He asked, I looked over at the door and it was open, I could see Lucas and he had a sad and disappointed face, he was staring at Josh and he has clenched fists

"No it's okay, thanks for asking"

"When you are out, would you like to go on a date with me ?"

OH MY GOD JOSHUA MATTHEWS ASKED ME ON A DATE !!! I tried to keep calm and cool like always, this time I couldn't jump on his back and I think it was better.

"Sure why not" I smiled at him, he smiled back, gorgeous smile.

He left the room and then I began to talk with the matthews.

It was the actual last turn, Uncle Eric, Farkle and Miss Kossal.

We talked for a while, about my ankle, my coma, what happened in school... Then pretty much random.

It was now night time, I ate my dinner and then Chloé came and we talked.

"I overheard a lot of things, first of all, why did this Lucas guy lied about what happened to you ?"

"He wants to protect me I guess... My best friend is actually mad at me because I didn't tell her I apparently broke up with Charlie and got into a car accident, imagine how mad she would be if she knew I was beaten for 2 years ?"

"Okay okay I understand... And... What about this Josh guy?"

"Josh ? He's Riley's uncle, he's actually 21, and he's my crush. I've liked him for a VERY long time and he just asked me on a date"

"Yeah I heard ! That's awesome Maya !"

"I know, and he's also one year younger than you !" I said in a flirtatious tone

"No way ! He's really cute BUT he's your crush"

"Oh well... Even my bestfriend is not like that"

"What do you mean ?"

"A long time ago I pushed her on Lucas's lap on the subway, she said she liked him, I backed away for two years and one day she's found out I liked him too and she back away for 2 days then got mad at me because we almost kissed... It was her crush I couldn't let my feelings decide so I backed away without saying anything and when she backs away for 2 days she says I owe her life"

Chloé nodded and sat on a chair on my room

"Aren't you supposed to work ?" I ask

"My only patient here is you and a old guy but he's sleeping"

"Oh okay" I nodded and looked trough my Instagram feed and laugh at some dumb videos, Chloé joined me and we laughed together.

I fell asleep and had a terrible nightmare: I was locked in a room and then Charlie came and he started to beat me, I started to scream Lucas's name and then I turned around and Lucas was with a knife and he stabbed me in the stomach.

I woke up in the middle of the night and I couldn't sleep much, I decided to stay awake the whole night.
