Chapter 17

Leia's POV

I woke up to an annoying beeping sound. I looked around the room and everyone was in there asleep and the clock read 3:49am.

"Ugh." I say in pain.

"Leia, hey." My grandma says.

"Hi." I say to her.

"I'll get the Doctor." She says to me.

"Leia, lets see how your doing." Dr.Whale says.

"I hurt." I tell him.

"I know, your just lucky to be alive." He tells me.

"All that matter is that you are." My grandma says taking my hand.

"Now Leia your really lucky nothing broke, but you are very bruised up. The pain will be very bad. Sleeping might be hard, but you have a great bunch of people to take care of you along with alot of pain killers." He says.

"Thank you." My grandma says.

"I'll be right back with the pain killers." Dr.Whale says and walked out.

"Should I wake everyone. Or at least your mom and dad?" My grandma asks.

"No let them sleep." I say.

"Okay. Why dont you get some sleep." She says to me.

"Yeah okay." I tell her.

I tried to sleep, but I couldnt. I woke up again and everyone was gone. It was around 10am.

"Leia Hi. Im glade your okay." Albert Spencer says walking in.

"Why are you here?" I ask him.

"I heard you got hurt and when I saw your family at Granny's and saw your Grandma in the hallway. I can to say hi." He says.

"You know I got hurt. You cut the breaks." I say to him.

"Oh please Leia I just got to town what makes you think I cut the breaks on the sheriff's car." He says.

"But.. But.." I say.

"Shhhh. Your not going to be hurt by me. Not today anyway. I dont know who tried to kill you the other day, but it wasnt me." He says.

He walked out and my grandma walked in.

"Your mom is coming sweetie." She tells me.

"Okay." I say.

Killian's POV

"I saw him." David says.

"David, Albert isnt in town." I tell him.

"No he is. They day Leia gets hurt I saw him." He says.

"Saw who?" Graham asks.

"Albert Spencer." David says.

"Sorry Never heard of him." Graham says.

"Yeah well he has like white hair almost bald, has blue eyes, very bad attitude." David says.

"Well I'll keep an eye out." Graham says.

"Hey Graham why did you have Leia in your car?" I ask him.

"She needed a ride home." He says.

"Well we should go Leia is awake." I say to David.

"Well I'll see if David was right." Graham says walking away.

We went to the hospital and Emma was in the waiting room.

"Killian thank god your here come on. Leia needs to talk to you." Emma says pulling me to the room.

"Leia are you alright?" I ask her.

"Albert Spencer is in town and he paid me a visit before the accident and when you all wernt here." She tells me.

"So David was right. Did anyone see him?" I ask.

"Possible Ruby and Granny, but Graham saw him for sure. Thats why I got into his car. I was coming to tell you." She says.

I walked right out of the room and walked out of the hospital.

"Killian! Killian!" Emma yells.

"What!" I yell back.

"Whats the matter?" She asks.

"Graham told us he had no idea about Albert. If its Graham's job to find people that others described then you would think he would tell you once you describe him." I say.

"Okay." Emma says confusingly.

"Emma, I found Albert Spencer and put him in the holding cell." Graham says walking up to us.

"I thought you said you never saw him." I say.

"Well I did, but I forgot then remembered and thought I would do my job as sheriff and go after the man. Plus going after him makes Leia safe which makes my sweet Emma happy." He says and kisses her.

I felt as if I was going to puke. Of course he kept it to himself as so he could be Emma's hero. Why does this feel so bad? Why does it feel like I've lost something? I ignore my thought of theses weird feelings and go back inside the hospital to just stay with my daughter.
