Elizabeth's P.O.V

I wake up with my pillow wet with tears.

I look at my phone and see that it is 10:27 on Tuesday already, I can't believe I've slept through a full day.

I thought about the animals and quickly jumped out of bed and ran downstairs, they were sleeping and I looked at their bowls and felt relieved that there was still some dog food left.

I replaced that left-over food with more fresh food and the puppies started waking up.

Knock knock

"What now?" I said under my breath as I walked to the door.

I opened the door and saw Minaya looking worried as she typed on her phone.

"Hey Minaya what's up?" I said.

"Thank goodness you're still here." She said as she hugged me tight.

"What do you mean?" I asked.

"Well since you didn't come to school yesterday and today, I thought you also disappeared." She said with tears in her eyes.

"Wait, what do you mean, also disappeared?" I asked curiously.

Minaya starts crying.

"Elizabeth, almost all the children in school have disappeared."

I gasp.

"How many people are left?"

"About twenty I think." She said.

"Shoot." I said quietly.

"What about the teachers?" I asked.

Her face turned white.

"They are acting really strange." She said.

"Define strange."

"Well yesterday Andy Patterson was talking during Miss Egrin's lesson, when she stopped writing on the whiteboard she turned her head around 180°'s and blinked her eyes like a lizard as in not closing her eyes like we normally do, she closed her eyes sideways and walked over to Andy. She held up a orb, said a few words and poof he was gone." She said, with her voice cracking at the end.

I wrapped my arms around her tightly and gave her a reassuring hug.

"It's okay Minaya, its okay."

"Hey I have an idea." I said and she looked up at me.

"Why don't we go play with the puppies, and I have a new surprise."

"What?" She asked.

"You're gonna have to wait and see." I said as I grabbed her hand and led her into the house.

I led her into the house where the puppies and Thunder were eating.

When she saw Thunder, her eyes went big and she squealed.

"You didn't tell me you had a fox cub! He is so cute, what's his name?" She said.

"His name is Thunder." I said.

"That's so cute."

And we started playing with them.

"Bye Minaya, and don't worry too much about school, actually don't go to school tomorow okay?"

"Okay." She said before she walked away.

I gave a big yawn and walked to the kitchen and fed the animals then walked upstairs and took a nice, long, refreshing shower.

I wrapped the towel tight around me and used my hand to wipe the mist from the mirror.
