Sakura and I arrived at the academy, where I was to meet Iruka-sensei, making sure to come a little early.
"Hey Sakura-chan?"
"Hm?"
"Can we please keep the whole 'I'm from a different world thing' a little quiet? I don't exactly want people to be asking me weird questions and gawking at me everywhere I go." I said a little awkwardly.
"No problem." She nodded.
Just then, kids began rushing out the doors, glad to have a break. They started running and playing tag around me and Sakura, some of them casting us a few questioning looks, but for the most part ignoring us. Looking up, we saw Iruka-sensei making his way out of the building as well, albeit a little more slowly.
"Good morning Sakura!" Iruka-sensei waved as he walked over to us.
He looked at me with a slightly fascinated look on his face. "You must be the one Tsunade wanted me to evaluate." He said thoughtfully, sizing me up. "What's your name?""Amira. Thank you for helping me." I made a small, polite bow.
"Someone else will be taking my place to teach the kids later, so we can take as much time as we want." Iruka-sensei smiled.
I nodded energetically in reply.
"Are you staying Sakura?" Iruka-sensei asked.
"Lady Tsunade is letting me have the day off so I can help Amira-chan out." Sakura said.
"All right then, let's get started!"
Over the next couple of hours, Iruka-sensei worked with me. Saying very little for the whole time. First, he checked my physical fitness level through a series of exercises and obstacle courses. Then, he and Sakura introduced me to kunai and shuriken, testing my aim and skill with them. After that had been done, it was time for him to see how well I did with chakra.
"All right! First I want you to make this hand symbol, and try to focus on your chakra." Iruka-sensei demonstrated, the dust at our feet kicking up slightly as he released some of his chakra.
I mimicked him, and ran through what I remembered reading last night through my head. I concentrated, searching the depths of my body for the powerful energy that I knew was lying dormant. I was concentrating so much, I didn't realize what had happened.
"That's enough Amira-san!" Iruka-sensei shouted at me.
I jolted, opening my eyes. I was surrounded in a whirlwind of dust and small debri. Breaking the handsign, I let the chakra go, feeling a little bewildered.
-Did I really just do that?
*You're welcome for helping you out.
-You gave me all that chakra?
*Yes dummy, now pay attention!
Both Sakura and Iruka-sensei looked at me, baffled.
"Well..." Iruka-sensei huffed. "At least I know... that you're not short on... chakra..."
When he had regained his breath, he straightened.
"To sum things up, you need to work much more on your running, as well as your stamina," he paused, "But you have a good amount of upper body strength, which is a little uncommon for girls," he cast a sidelong glance at Sakura as he said this, "And you do well with both shuriken and kunai. You also tend to adapt quickly to your environment." He gestured to the obstacle courses.
"Overall," he continued, "You're not doing too badly. I think a few more lessons with me and you'll be ready for an actual sensei." He turned to Sakura and asked, "By the way, who did the Hokage choose to be her mentor?"
"Kakahi-sensei." Sakura replied bluntly.
"Hmmm, I see..." Iruka-sensei thought about it for a moment. "I suppose it makes sense, since he isn't really teaching anyone at the moment."
There was a moment of silence.
"Are you going to work with me more, or are we done for today?" I asked.
"We're done for now, you need to get a little rest, because tomorrow we're going to be working on your running."
-Oh boy.....
*Get over it wimp.
-Wimp? Is that your new name for me or something?
*Yes, I think it suits you a little better than dummy...
-At least it's an improvement.
"Thank you for all your help today Iruka-sensei. I look forward to tomorrow...I think." I laughed.
"No problem! I look forward to tomorrow as well! Now if you excuse me, I have to get back to my other students." Iruka-sensei said. And then began to walk back to the academy doors.

Later, Sakura showed me around the village a little more, and then treated me to some Ichiraku ramen.
"Okay, now I realize why people keep talking about this place! That was some pretty good ramen Teuchi-san!" I exclaimed, licking my lips in satisfaction.
The older man laughed in response. "I'm glad you like it! Would you like a second? It's on the house!"
"Really? Yes please then!" I said as I handed the bowl to Ayame for more. "Thank you so much!"
"We don't often get new comers here who decide to stay for a while, so consider it a welcoming present." Ayame replied as she handed the bowl back to me.
After both me and Sakura finished, I thanked them again profusely, then we stepped out of the small building. Beginning to turn the corner, I stopped abruptly, nearly crashing into someone.
"Aaaaghhh! Sorry! Are you all right?" I said as I looked up.It was Neji.
He looked up as well, his face annoyed, but all of a sudden his cheeks began to flush pink. He spun on his heel faster than I thought possible and hurried away.
"Well that was weird." Sakura commented.
"Yeah..... I'm pretty sure that's not normal for Neji." I replied back.
-I guess he might have just been a little lost in thought and got flustered.
*And exactly how probable do you think that is? Neji isn't exactly one to get 'flustered'.
-OH, I DON'T KNOW! It was probably nothing!
*Yeah, right....
