The training grounds were bustling. Crowds of people were gathered and packed tightly in one of the fields.
-The heck? What on earth is going on?!
*In this instance, I am just as clueless as you are, wimp.
Desperately pushing through the thick tide of people, I finally made my way to the front.
-Oh HELL NO!
*Did you really expect any less from her?
-Less than twenty-four hours in and she's already managed to get half the village looking at her!
*At least be glad it isn't for something downright ridiculous.
Zaara stood in the center of the circle of people, Kunai in hand, facing Kiba in a battle stance.
She lunged at Kiba, swiping the Kunai with blinding speed.-She hasn't even gotten any training! How is she doing that?! Only an upper chunin or jonin is capable of that kind of speed!
The kunai connected with Kiba's right shoulder, sending a small stream of blood down his arm.
*Poor guy didn't even have time to dodge....
-No kidding!
Kiba jumped back in retreat, clutching his arm. Akamaru began to whine when he saw Kiba wounded, but Kiba signaled Akamaru to stand back.
"Not bad." He said, standing up straight, "You're fast."
Zaara was panting, but she still held the Kunai up, "And you're pretty tough."
Then, Kiba did the unthinkable.
He held his hands up in surrender.
The crowd went silent with amazement. Kiba giving up to a newbie? Impossible!
"I give up." He said he said calmly, "If we keep fighting the only thing that I'm going to be doing is getting hurt." A wry chuckle escaped his lips.
"Wait? So I win? HA! I told you so!" Zaara said while lowering the kunai and standing normally.
A few minutes later, the training grounds were empty, save for the three of us.
Kiba and Zaara stared at each other in silence. I stood at the side, waiting for them to notice me.
Finally, I coughed to get their attention. They whipped their heads around in my direction.
"Alright lovebirds, can one of you kindly answer my question?"
"Em, what question?" my sister asked, looking confused.
"How the heck were you moving so fast? You haven't even had any training with Iruka-sensei yet! And what was the deal with you two fighting?"
Just then, Kurenai-sensei walked in to the training ground, and then abruptly stopped when she saw Kiba's arm.
"What is the meaning of this Kiba?" She whipped her head around to Zaara, just as she hid the kunai behind her back.
"And who are you?"
The awkward tension in the air was nearly touchable. My sister opened her mouth to answer, but Kiba beat her too it.
"This is Zaara," I could see the nervousness etched in his face, "And we were just having a little sparring match."
"Clearly..." Kurenai-sensei said, her tone of voice murderous.
