In between mouthfuls of soup, which tasted really good, I told them all I could remember, (leaving out the jinchurki part).. I'm not sure why I decided to tell them everything, but deep in my gut I felt that I could trust them.
When I finished, and all the soup had been eaten, a thoughtful silence fell.
"Interesting story. Either you hit your head really damn hard, or you're telling the truth Princess." Daiki concluded.
"Well, even if you choose not to believe me," I said, "I still don't know where I am, or how exactly I got here."
"It seems like now we have to fill you in a little bit." Kiyoko replied with a small smile.

Kiyoko went on to tell me about the land we were in, the kind of people here, the shinobi villages, and the general history of everything, Daiki occasionally putting in a word or two when Kiyoko left something out. I found out that I was in the Naruto universe. We were in The Land of Fire, a little ways away from the border. Kiyoko and Daiki were headed for the village Daiki grew up in so they could visit his parents.
"If you do in-fact, have dangerous people coming after you, your best shot will probably be taking a visit to the Village Hidden in the Leaves." Daiki commented. He leaned his broad shoulders back on a log, "The village that I grew up in is close to Leaf Village, so I met quite a few people while I was there. I remember this one kid," his face grew thoughtful, as if he was playing back a memory in his mind, "he was a spunky little thing, always enthusiastic about everything. Every time that he went out of the village we could hear him shouting from a mile away." Daiki chuckled, a smile playing at his lips.
The fire crackled between the three of us. Licks of orange flame making the shadows dance.
"Thank you for everything, I'd be wandering around like a bumbling idiot if it weren't for the two of you!" I blurted out, laughing. And with that, we all concluded that we should get some sleep.

Burying myself deeper into my blanket, my mind swirled with everything I'd just heard.
-Well, whad'ya know? I'm in the Naruto universe, and near the Village Hidden In the Leaves nonetheless! As if hearing that I have a tailed-beast inside of me and meeting a fishy-psycho member of the Akatsuki wasn't enough. Either I must've fallen asleep on the pond shore and am having a ridiculously realistic dream, or this is actually happening.
*I think the latter would be correct. You're not exactly one to suddenly fall into deep sleep. And I'm quite sure that the pain in your wrist is real. Since you obviously couldn't see that.
-Oh just give it a rest will you?
***********************************************
We traveled for a week, going slowly due to Kiyoko's pregnancy and my injury. When my wrist was feeling somewhat better, I went hunting with Daiki. I wasn't new to archery, so I felt completely at home with his bow in my hands. I was a little rusty at first, missing some good game because I hadn't used a bow and arrow in a while, but it came back to me quickly. I would shoot, and Daiki would prepare the meat.
Daiki often complemented my archery skills and ability to move quietly through the forest, jokingly saying: "You're doing pretty well for a princess!" At first I disliked him calling me that, insisting to just call me Amira, but he wouldn't. I grew to like him though, as if he was the older brother my actual brother had never been, so eventually I didn't mind as much. It reminded me of my own brothers, and how they would annoy me in much the same ways as Daiki did.
On the fifth day, when we had lighted a fire and sat down in a circle for dinner, Kiyoko spoke.
"So, are you going to go to the Village Hidden in the Leaves?" she inquired.
A couple of seconds passed by before I answered the impending question.
"Yes. They likely have more information on the man who attacked me. But whether or not they choose to help me is something I'm worried about."
"If they do help you," Daiki said as he turned piece of meat over the fire, "I would highly suggest asking them if they can train you as a ninja. You're probably a little old to start training, as they usually start the training with little kids, but I've seen you with a bow and arrow, and learning a little about self-defense never hurt anyone."
I had already thought of what Daiki had just suggested, turning the thought over and over in my head. Albeit I wasn't exactly the most physically fit person on the planet, being terrible at running and all, but I was strong. Not super strong, but I let my abilities be known so that I can intimidate and discourage people with less-than-good intentions. Being a curvy girl isn't exactly a walk in the park.
"That was my intention," I replied back, my chin resting in my hands, "but I'm not sure if they'll let me or not. I might be strong in respect to many other women, but I'm not the most physically fit person, so I would most likely just be a dead-weight."
"If I thought you were able to defend yourself in the first place, do you honestly think I would've suggested that?" He said to me, teasing.
"Don't be so mean Daiki!" Kiyoko swatted his shoulder with a seemingly delicate hand.
"Ouch! That hurt Kiyoko!" he whined, rubbing the injured shoulder.
"It's alright!" I said, a small burst of laughter rolling out of my mouth, "Daiki is right. I could definitely do with some improvement, I just hope that the Hokage will let me in as a trainee."
"Well I might be able to pull a few strings..." Daiki gave a little wink, "I know quite a few people in the Leaf."
"Really? You'd do that for a little pathetic princess like me?" I joked.
"Well of course Your Highness, it's the least a little lowly hunter like me can do!"
This sent a burst of raucous laughter careering around us. Everyone clutching bellies and doubling over.
After a good five minutes, and after our breathing had returned to normal, me and Kiyoko wiped our eyes from the laughter.
"GAAAAAAAAHHHH!!!"
The butterflies that had just been doing a circus act in my stomach suddenly turned to stone, and wave of cold panic grabbed hold of me.
"What is it Daiki?! What's wrong?!" fear lanced through Kiyoko's voice.
Daiki pointed to the fire. "The meat burned!" He grabbed a skewer and anxiously blew at the half-burned meat.
I heaved a sigh of relief.
"Don't do that! You nearly gave me and the baby a heart attack Daiki!" Kiyoko snapped, swatting him again, on the opposite shoulder this time.
"Okay, okay! I promise not to do it again!"
Daiki help up his hands in surrender, trying to calm Kiyoko down.
Kiyoko sat down with a harrumph. "You'd better not."
-I have never seen Kiyoko so worked up before.
I struggled to stifle a laugh.
-It's HILARIOUS!
