"I told you racing me was a bad idea!" I gloated as we stepped through the gateway of the Leaf village.
We had been racing for a couple hours through the desert, but once we hit forest, we had to stop because the jeeps couldn't have gone much farther and my chakra was running low.
Gai-sensei had taken the opportunity to make a fool out of himself, again. Once we had disembarked from the vehicles he'd tossed Kakashi in the air, making him land piggy-back style on his back. He then ran at top speed back to the village, poor Kakashi-sensei waving like a human flag behind him.
"Remind me to teach you guys how to drive sometime; it could be useful." I said, speaking to Sakura and Tenten.
"How about you teach us after you can walk on your own again." Sakura replied.
"Good point."
After a little conversing, it was quickly established that our first order of business should be going to the hospital. Kakashi needed medical attention, and it wasn't apparent if Sasori's poison had completely left my body or not.
Marching into the hospital, it only took one look from a passing nurse to figure things out. She quickly called for some help to come over, and then me and Kakashi were escorted to some rooms.

The pain had dulled somewhat, but it was still difficult to move on my own. Kakashi-sensei was even worse. Lady Tsunade said he had to stay for at least a week, but I only had to be at the hospital for a couple days at most.
After I had been asleep for who knows how long, (which felt absolutely amazing by the way) there was nothing for me to do besides stare out the window. Scooting myself into a sitting position on the bed, I wondered what Naruto and Sakura were doing.
I sighed, bored out of my mind. Carefully, I swung my legs over the side of the bed and stood up shakily, quickly finding my balance. Technically I wasn't supposed to get up until tomorrow, but I was bored, and I felt a lot better after sleeping so much.I crept down the hallway, trying to find a way out of the building without being seen. I froze upon hearing the sound of some voices nearby. They were coming from the room a few feet in front of me, Kakashi's room. Quickly using my invisibility jutsu, I crept forward to listen. I peeked through the doorway. Lady Tsunade stood by Kakashi's bed, a man I didn't recognize standing next to her, with their backs toward me. Jiraiya leaned on the windowsill, his face serious.
Lady Tsunade opened her mouth to say something, but was cut off by Jiraiya.
"I know you're standing at the door, you might as well come out."
Ugh...Caught.
"You're pretty sharp for an old guy, Jiraiya." I commented as I stepped inside the room, releasing the jutsu.
"Shouldn't you be in bed?" Tsunade said sternly.
I shrugged, "I was feeling better after sleeping a bit so I thought I could get some air, plus I was bored."
"So you thought listening in to our conversation would fix that?!" Tsunade shot back angrily.
I brushed her furious comment off.
"For one, I wasn't even able to hear anything important, and two...not meaning to be rude or anything, but my mother is a lot scarier than you are, so trying to act that way won't really make me do anything."Jiraiya covered his face to suppresses his laughter, but a few giggles still escaped.
I could see Tsunade's anger rise, before it deflated in defeat. There was a mixture of disbelief and awe in Jiraiya and Kakashi's faces at the fact that I had just
done the unthinkable and stood up to Lady Tsunade like that.
