For the next week I had daily lessons with Iruka-sensei. He was a good teacher, and could be quite tough at times. He worked with me on my running, helping me build up muscle in my legs and become faster. And taught me basic handsigns and jutsu. During my free time I worked a few odd jobs to make some money so I wouldn't feel like a burden to anyone, and became acquainted with most of the village while doing them. I saw Neji a few times, but he would always disappear when he saw me.

On the last day of the week, Iruka-sensei deemed me to be ready for actual training.

"Here," Iruka-sensei handed me a scroll, "Take this to the Hokage so she knows that you've passed my lessons."

"Thank you." I replied, taking the scroll. "Even though I won't be doing training with you anymore, I hope I can still see you around." I said, smiling.

A few minutes later, I was in Tsunade's office, handing her the scroll from Iruka-sensei. She scanned it quickly, then set it down on the desk.

"It looks like Iruka thinks you're ready for an actual sensei. You are aware of who your sensei will be I assume?"

"Yes ma'am." I replied simply.

"Izumo!" She called.

I turned to see Izumo appear at the doorway.

"Yes Lady Hokage?"

"Please notify Kakashi to come here immediately." Tsunade ordered.

Izumo nodded, and then disappeared in a flash.

I turned back to Tsunade.

"Should I wait here?" I asked.

"Yes, please." Tsunade replied.

Ten agonizing minutes of tense silence(on my part anyway), there was a knock on the door.

"Enter." Tsunade called.

I stared at my feet, nervous butterflies doing a circus act in my stomach.

-This is it...

Bringing my gaze back up, I watched as the door opened slowly, and Kakashi stepped inside. He walked up to Tsunade's desk, his calmness could've been mistaken for carelessness.

"You wanted to see me?" Kakashi asked.

"Yes, I did. There is a new student for you." Tsunade gestured to me. I straightened up to my full height.

"This is Amira, she arrived here recently. She's not from around here, but apparently the Akatsuki are after her."

Kakashi's eye widened a little at this. He turned toward me, looking at me with a new curiosity.

"Iruka has already worked with her and believes that she is ready for real training. As you were the only one who wasn't actively teaching anyone I chose you to be her teacher." Tsunade stated.

Kakashi walked over to me.

-Or rather, Kakashi- sensei I should say.

"Hello Amira-."

I held up my hand, indicating that I wanted him to stop for a second.

"Before we do anything else, I would like to point out something important. I know more about you than you might think, so unless you want to die, I would suggest that you keep your perviness to yourself when I'm around." I said firmly, letting my hand fall back to my side.

Tsunade laughed at my statement. Even though his face was covered with a mask, I could tell that Kakashi was stunned. He blinked a few times before he finally answered, "Okay then."

After both me and Kakashi-sensei had left the office, we found a place to talk. I instantly recognized it as the same place that he had first spoken to Naruto, Sasuke, and Sakura.

Kakashi, for once, wasted no time. "Why are the Akatsuki after you?" He asked, leaning against the railing, arms crossed.

"Apparently I am a Jinchuriki." I shrugged, "It's a long story."

"Well, we've got all day, so why not start now?"

I told him the whole story, my voice wavering ever so slightly when I got to the part about the portal. An icy spear of pain stabbed my heart when I realized how much I missed my sister, but I plowed on, finishing the story up until Iruka started training me.

-I've already been here for two weeks and I still don't know much about my situation.

*You're so impatient.

-I don't know, if you knew you had a bunch of psychopaths coming after you for who knows what, wouldn't you just be a wee bit impatient to figure things out too?!

*Hmph...

Kakashi's face(from what I could tell) had gone through a variety of emotions, leaning more toward shock and disbelief, but now he was quiet.

"Seems like you had a bit of a ride." he finally said.

"You have no idea."

"So you know everything about us?" he asked, incredulously, but also slightly curious.

"Well not everything, but I know about Sasuke, Orochimaru, Naruto, the third Hokage, how the fourth Hokage trapped the Nine-Tailed fox in Naruto, the Sand Village, and a few other ninjas in the village. As well as some of the missions you've been on when team 7 was still together." I answered.

There was a minute of silence as Kakashi-sensei registered what I had said.

"But something has been troubling me," I said as Kakashi looked back up. "How was Kisame able to open up a portal between our worlds? And what if all of the Akatsuki know how to? The effects could be catastrophic, not just that they could cause trouble in my world, but it could completely alter space-time. Everything from both our worlds could be torn apart in a split second for all we know."

"That is a problem." Kakashi rubbed his chin thoughtfully, "But if you are a Jinchuriki, wouldn't that mean that you were originally from here?"

I blinked, I had never thought of that before. Well, it had crossed my mind, but I had just shoved it away as an impossibility.

"But how would that be possible? I was born there, I have parents! And brothers, and a sister!" I insisted.

"Well think about it for a second. If the Akatsuki are able to travel between worlds, don't you think that someone would have created a jutsu to send people to other worlds?"

He had a point.

"But how would that work? Would that mean that I have two sets of parents? Two families? Both of them real?"

"Now don't jump to conclusions." Kakashi warned, "we don't know enough to say anything yet. These are just theories. But all the same," he pushed himself away from the rail he was leaning on and stood up straight, "You need training. Now."

============================ I am a terrifying jinchuriki! Fear me! \(*O*)/

Not really...
