Arms full with a tall stack of books, I walked unsteadily to my door, trying not to lose my balance.

"Here, let me get that for you!" Sakura moved to open the door for me, but I stopped her.

"It's okay Sakura-chan! I've got it!" balancing the stack of books on my left arm dexterously, I opened the door with my right.

"TADA! Going to the library and coming home with a stack of books isn't exactly something new to me." I said, flashing a triumphant smile.
"Would you like to come in by the way?" I asked Sakura as I set the books down on the floor in the doorway.

"No thanks. Lady Tsunade is expecting me soon."

"Okay, you should go then. You wouldn't want to make her mad!" I teased.

Sakura rolled her eyes, "No kidding!" She turned to leave.

"Bye Amira-chan! I hope that you get a good sensei!" She called over her shoulder as left.

I flopped down on the small bed and pulled on a set of comfortable clothes that had been offered to me earlier, my hair still wet from taking a shower.

Searching through the stack of books, I found the one I wanted, flipped it open, and started to read.

I had mainly gotten books on chakra control, basic along with more advanced jutsu, as well as one on medical ninja basics and terminology. If I was going to be training to be a ninja at my age, might as well not look stupid while doing so. Especially in comparison to the kids who had already begun. But at the same time I was trying to save myself from any possible embarrassing situations. Plus I was curious.

When I finished the book, it was dark out. Yawning, I glanced at the small, and somewhat sad-looking, alarm clock next to the bed. It was almost ten. Putting the book back, I switched off the lamp(making sure to also set the alarm clock), and let the information I had just acquired sink into my head as I fell asleep.

*************

BEEEEP! BEEEEP! BEEEEP!

I buried my head under my blanket, trying to cancel out the ear-grating noise.

Groaning, I fumbled to find the off switch, then promptly slammed my hand down on it.

Rubbing the sleep away from my eyes, I sat up, and peaked through the blinds of the window. It was barely dawn, a few stars still visible in the faint light of the soon-to-rise sun, but already the village was bustling down below. Usually I don't wake up this early, but I didn't want to look like an idiot when Tsunade's message arrived.

Groaning again at the agonizing thought of leaving the warm bed, I slowly swung my legs over the side, and started to stretch all the cramps away. I considered my myself many things, but a morning person was not one of them.

Slowly, I got dressed in the uniform Tsunade had let me pick out yesterday, becoming more awake and excited as I did so. It was a dark blue short-sleeved hoodie, a pair of black ninja pants, and long finger-less glove sleeves.

-Get up early in the morning: check. Look like a badass: double check.

*You don't have to narrate everything you do you know... 'yawn'

-Why do you always have to be such a party-pooper? I'm just excited, okay?

*Fine, fine....but why'd you have to wake up so early???

-So I won't look like an idiot who just jumped out of bed that's why.

*Hmph...
