I stepped inside the house, and was immediately greeted by the smells of baking.
"Kyoko! Who was at the door? Is Daiki back?" A feminine voice called from somewhere in the house.
"It's a friend who's come to visit!" Kyoko called back.
The sound of light footsteps came from somewhere in the house, heading towards us. A woman came into view through a doorway. She had long midnight blue hair, bright, piercing green eyes, and skin as pale as my own. She was incredibly beautiful. Though she looked young, there was a spark of wisdom and experience in her gaze.
"Who's this?" The woman asked Kyoko.
"This is Amira, the girl me and Daiki told you about. Amira, this is my mother in law, Aimi."
The woman strode up, standing quite a few centimeters above me. She looked into my eyes, a kind and slightly mischievous smile glancing her features. She extended her hand towards me. I took it, and was suddenly swept up into a hug.
"Oof!"
The woman laughed, almost like a female version of Daiki. She let go of me, pushing me back as she looked me up and down.
She smiled again, "Welcome Amira! Kyoko and Daiki told me a lot about you. But tell me something, can you cook?"
"Um, yes?" I replied a little uncertainly.
"Good! Because I'm going to need some help in the kitchen!" She grabbed my arm and began to pull me enthusiastically towards the kitchen.
I glanced back at Kyoko mouthing, 'help me!'. Kyko giggled at my distress before I was whisked away out of view.

Aimi and I hit it off with each other almost immediately. She was incredibly energetic, zipping from one side of the small kitchen to the other. While I was helping her cook, we exchanged our stories. Aimi went on to tell me about her family. The blue hair was a trademark, and it always skipped a generation, which is why Kyoko and Daiki's child had it but Daiki didn't.
An hour later, and just as Aimi and I finished cooking, there was the sound of the front door opening.
"Go on!" Aimi said.
"What?"
"I'm sure Daiki will want to see you, and we're done anyways." Aimi gave me a kind smile as she wiped her hand on a towel. I returned the smile, then headed for the front room of the small house.
"Oh, Daiki! There's-"
"Guess who!" I called out, interrupting Kyoko as I stepped into view, sporting a playful smile. Daiki was with an older man who had salt and pepper hair, he had kind and wise features, and was about Daiki's height.
"Amira!" Daiki exclaimed, surprised at my appearance. "Long time no see! You've changed!" Daiki said happily.
"Is this the girl you spoke of, son?" Daiki's father inquired. Daiki nodded in response.
Daiki turned back to me, a huge grin on his face, "So Amira, what have you been up to?"
"If only you knew..." I replied with a small chuckle.

When Daiki and his father finished cleaning themselves up, we sat down for food. In between bites of bread rolls and soup(which was ironically the same soup I had eaten when I first met them) I began to sum up the past three and a half months for Kyoko and Daiki.
"When I first got to the village, I explained my situation to the Hokage. Since the same people who are after me are also enemies of the Leaf village, Lady Tsunade quickly set me up with a temporary teacher so I could learn the basics."
