Kakashi-sensei told me that my training would begin first thing tomorrow morning, and said
"You shouldn't eat anything, otherwise you'll puke... But I guess you know that already."

Obligingly, I didn't eat any food for the rest of the day. Not just because Kakashi-sensei had said so, but because I knew that it was good training, and I moved faster on an empty stomach anyway.
When I got back to my apartment I grabbed a bunch of books from a stack, plopped down on my bed, and started to read. Kakashi-sensei knew I was still a beginner, and wouldn't expect much from me, which could be to my advantage. In the next few hours, I practiced some of the jutsus I found in the books, experimenting and perfecting a few that I thought would be particularly useful. When it was finally time to sleep, I ran through a few strategies in my head. Thinking of moves, counter-moves, handsigns, and their respective combinations while I slowly fell asleep.

*********

BEEEEP! BEEEEP! BEEEEP!

-Is it really time to wake up.....

*Well unless you want to make a fool out of yourself and show up late, I would suggest you get moving.

-OH SHOOT YOU'RE RIGHT! TODAY'S THE TEST WITH KAKASHI-SENSEI!

Leaping out of bed, I got ready at rocket speed. I changed my clothes, brushed my teeth, and was out the door five minutes later. Tucking my unused sketchbook into one of my pockets, I began to jog to the training grounds.

I reached the training ground in less than half an hour, but there was no sign of Kakashi-sensei.

-I hope that for once he doesn't come late.

*That's doubtful, wimp.

-Must you always call me ridiculous and demeaning names?

*At least they suit you better than 'princess'!

-Say that again and I'll make you regret it.

*And how, pray tell, do you plan on doing that?

I didn't have time to snap back because Kakashi had just shown up. He walked toward me casually, his usual, calm self.

"Are you ready?" he asked.

"I would be arrogant if I said yes." I retorted.

"Then I guess we'll get started." Kakashi walked over to the three logs stuck up vertically in the ground, placing a timer on one of them. "Usually this would be a teamwork test, but since you don't have a team, this will be a test of skill. You know the rules?" His lone eye gave me a questioning look.

"I have until noon to get the bells from you, and if I don't, no lunch for me."

"That's correct. Now, three, two, one, go!" He tapped the timer to get it started, but I didn't move. Or at least, I hoped he would think I didn't.

Sitting up in a tree, I watched to see what he would do next.

"Well? I said you go." Kakashi-sensei asked.

My clone sprang into action, running toward Kakashi at full speed, and shouting a battle cry as it made the shadow-clone handsign. Ten more clones popped up, running toward Kakashi.

Perfect.

Clasping my hands together, I formed the shadow possession jutsu. Since it was still early in morning, the shadows were long and dark, making everything perfect.
Kakashi seemed surprised and was about to jump back, but he wasn't able to move. A look of complete and utter shock came over his face as he realized what had happened.
While he had been distracted by the clones, I used the shadows of the trees and the clones combined to reach his own, trapping him.

The lead clone snatched the bells from with a smirk, then walked toward me. Kakashi-sensei watched with bewilderment as I jumped down from the tree, and took the bells from the clone.

POOOF! POOOF! POOF POOF!

The clones disappeared, leaving me with the symbol of victory in my hands, and an inflated sense of accomplishment.

"Never underestimate your enemy Kakashi-sensei, no matter how new to things they might be." I released his shadow, allowing him to move again.

"Where did you learn the shadow possession jutsu?" surprise filled his voice.

"You tend to learn a lot more when you are quiet and observe, rather than when you talk and focus only on yourself." I said in an old-lady impression.

Making Kakashi-sensei the student was fun.

Kakashi chuckled to himself, "Maybe I should've used my sharingan, then you wouldn't have been so lucky."

"I might not be the fastest or strongest person, but I am smart. And I knew that you wouldn't expect much from me, which is why I counted on you not using your sharingan." I said.

"But how did you make a clone without moving?" He questioned.

"I did, you just didn't notice because I did it before you came." I gave him a cheeky smile, "It pays to be a bookworm!"

I walked over to him, "Now where is the food? Because I'm starving!"

*********

"That was impressive." Kakashi stated.

I swallowed the food in my mouth. "Thank you. I know that means a lot coming from you." I replied as I took another bite of food.

"The shadow possession jutsu is specific to the Naara clan, how did you learn it?" He asked.

"It wasn't that hard. I already knew the handsign, and from there it was just a matter of guessing where my chakra was supposed to go. Which was around my feet where I expected."

"Hmmm..." Kakashi looked at me with new interest.

A minute passed by. Two.

"Uh, Kakashi-sensei, can you please stop staring at me?"

"Oh, sorry. I was thinking about something."

"Whatever you say..." I replied.

I finished the box of food a few minutes later. Placing the chopsticks neatly inside, I closed the bento and set it aside. Kakashi had moved to sit in a nearby tree to wait for me to finish.

"Kakashi-sensei. Will we be doing anything else today?"

He looked up from his book, then hopped down from the tree.

"Yes. I want to see how much you're capable of. So come back here in about an hour."

"Got it."

**********

When I came back to the training ground, Kakashi was waiting.
For the rest of the day I trained with him. I showed him how well I did with weapons, taijutsu, chakra control, and all the jutsu I know.

He was quiet for moment. Then he spoke.
"If you were any other genin, you wold start doing small missions tomorrow, but unfortunately we don't have that luxury. With the Akatsuki on the move, you need as much training as possible. Come back here tomorrow morning, got it?"

"Understood."

============================I hope you guys liked this chapter(Because I did lol)!

Tell me which part you think was the funniest! I really want to know what you guys think! :)

And FYI: When I focus hard on something, I can learn how to do it pretty fast, so learning the jutsus that were mentioned so fast was not an exaggeration.

See you guys next chapter! :D
