Tsunade began to reiterate what Sakura had told her.

Supposedly Sasori had a spy among Orochimaru's minions, and was to meet him less than a week from now. I honestly found it a little suspicious, and I voiced my concern.

"It sounds a little shaky to me. Dying or not, an Akatsuki member is an Akatsuki member, and I wouldn't trust a single one of them. But I do believe in the slight, slight, possibility that Sasori was at least telling part of the truth."

"That was what I was thinking." Yamato agreed.

I turned to Tsunade, "But you still want it checked out, don't you?"

"Yes, I do. Since Kakashi is unable to lead a team, Yamato will be filling in for him temporarily and leading team 7."

"May I make a small request, Lady Tsunade?" I asked.

She looked a little surprised, "What?"

"Though I'm sure I'll be fully recovered in a little while, I have no intention of going with Naruto and Sakura to find Sasuke."

Kakashi and Jiraiya looked at me in confusion.

"May I ask why?" Tsunade inquired suspiciously.

"I understand that this is personal for both Naruto and Sakura. Sasuke is their teammate, not mine, I feel like this is something that I need to let them do without me.
And I never really liked Sasuke. He always seemed a little selfish to me, not to mention an idiot for going to Orochimaru for help. Though after thinking about it for a bit, I can understand how desperate he must've been. If I go, I might just complicate things, which would be bad for everyone. Plus, I was never really a part of team 7. Just because Kakashi-sensei is teaching me doesn't automatically give me the right to be on the team, so I'm going to stay out of this for now."

A moment of silence hung as Kakashi, Jiraiya, Yamato, and Lady Tsunade pondered my confession.

Tsunade broke the silence.

"Amira, one of the main reasons I assigned you to Kakashi was that you would become a part of team 7. But unfortunately things have become a little complicated, since Danzo has decided to add one of his Anbu to the team for this mission." Tsunade said tersely.

"Uh, sorry if I seem to be a little clueless, but who's Danzo?" I asked quizzically.

"He's the leader of a group of Anbu called the Anbu Root. Previously, he competed with Sarutobi-sensei to become the third Hokage and failed. Unlike the Third, who was a pacifist, Danzo is quick to use violence and force. And since I'm the granddaughter of the First, and student of the Third, we don't get along well."

"Oh, I see...Has anyone here met the ninja he assigned yet?" I asked.

"Unfortunately no, but we should soon since we will be leaving for the mission tomorrow morning." Yamato answered.

"Well, have fun! Naruto should keep you pretty busy...especially if he doesn't like the new guy." I said with a little smirk.

"Let's just hope that he does." Kakashi said with a tired sigh. And with that, the conversation ended.

As I walked out the door, I turned my head back and said, "I'm going to go home, there's no point in staying since I'm pretty much healed now."

"Ugh, fine. There's not much I can do to keep you here anyways." Tsunade waved me off. I shot my sweetest smile back at her, "Thanks Lady Tsunade."

The hallways were relatively quiet as I headed back to my room to retrieve my belongings. Scooping up my backpack and slinging it over my shoulder, I hurried out.
