Scarlette's POV
I woke up not too early in the morning probably about 10:00 or 10:30. When I opened my eyes I noticed one of Grayson's arms were wrapped around my shoulder and the other was down by his side. However one of my arms were laying on Grayson's torso and the other was under my head. I then shifted around a little so I could get my phone and I was close. The time was 10:49 and I felt great.
"Good morning." Grayson whispered in my hair.
"Morning." I smiled turning around and placing a kiss on his lips.
"So what do you want to do today?" he asked moving my hair out of my face.
"I was thinking we could go to the hospital and see if they have any records of my mom being there." I suggested and he nodded his head.
"You remember what her name is right?" he asked for assurance.
"Yes when my dad and her were married it was Adelaide Cassidy now it is Adelaide Johnson. I'm pretty sure it will be Adelaide Cassidy for the hospital though but we can try both." I smiled patting his chest lightly before getting out of the bed. "We didn't do anything last night did we?" I asked noticing that we were both in underwear only.
"No we didn't after your shower you came in here and laid down and I took a quick shower. I wasn't sure if you would be okay with me sleeping with you so I just sat on the bed watching t.v. then accidentally fell asleep." he answered sitting up and rubbing his face in his palms.
"Awe you're so cute." I said accidentally. "I didn't mean-" I tried to say but Grayson stopped me.
"It's okay I know what you meant." he smiled giving me a sweet and innocent kiss. "Now we have to hurry up so we can get passed your friends." Grayson said grabbing some clothes and slipping them on.
"Oh yeah I completely forgot about them." I replied getting a white crop top and black shorts to put on.
"I'll see if we can go yet." Grayson said walking over to the door.
"Are we good to go?" I asked grabbing the wallet that we stole last night and my phone.
"Yep we're clear." he smiled taking my hand in his as we ran off.

Grayson's POV
I was so happy that she picked me to come with her to find her mom but that's probably because she trusts me. I would never do anything to break her trust and if I ever did it is by accident. We made it to the hospital and I automatically got a bad feeling. It's like we are going to be seen by someone and they will turn us in but at the same time I have a bad feeling that she will find something bad about her parents.
"Scarlette." I said pulling on her arm for us to stay behind.
"Grayson we can't do this every time we walk in somewhere." she giggled but I kept my emotions serious.
"I just have a bad feeling about this. Scarlette whatever you find out don't think differently about your parents unless you get some answers." I begged.
"Grayson, if it will help you sleep then fine." she smiled. "Now come on we can't stand outside all day." she giggled pulling on my hand to take me inside.
"Hello how may I help you?" the nurse asked.
"Where are your bathrooms?" Scarlette asked and I tried to not look confused.
"It's across the hallway from the paper work room." the nurse smiled before getting back to her computer.
"Thank you." Scarlette replied taking my hand and pulling me into the elevator.
"Why couldn't we just ask for he files?" I asked raising an eyebrow at Scarlette.
"Well that didn't really work yesterday did it?" she asked biting her lip.
"True I just don't want to get caught." I argued nicely.
"Distract the nurses in the hallway." Scarlette smiled as the elevator door opened.
"I can't find my mom!" I yelled and all the nurses rushed over to help me. Past all the nurses I saw Scarlette smile at me then slip in the room.
Scarlette's POV
As soon as I got in the room I didn't expect to see what I did. The room was so big and there were just rows and rows of paper work and files. Thankfully there were signs saying what each row held in alphabetical order.
"Okay now to find C." I whispered to myself.
I walked around until I finally found the row marked 'C'. As I walked down it I found the file marked Cassidy so I pulled it out and mostly saw check ups and pregnant reports. When I got to the back I found a file marked 'For Police Use Only'. Of course I had to read it because that may say where she is or something similar to that. As I went to open the folder someone walked in the room and I quickly crawled to the back of the room.
"Scarlette?" a voice whispered and I knew it was Grayson.
"God you scared me!" I whispered yelled to Grayson.
"Sorry I had to run downstairs and back in order to sneak in here. Did you find anything yet?" he asked and I showed him the folders I found. "Are you going to read the police one?" he asked holding it out for me to take.
"Well I have to." I answered with a nervous smile.
"Are you sure?" he asked looking my in the eyes.
"Very." I responded simply. I broke the seal and started to read through the papers until one caught my eye.
November 13, 2002, New Jersey Police Department was called by Adelaide Cassidy. Adelaide Cassidy was mumbling her words because she was supposedly shot. She said that it was by her husband, Eli Cassidy, but Mr. Cassidy said that someone broke into the house and shot her. The backdoor was broken but there were no finger prints to be found. Whoever did commit this crime left no trace except for the bullets used were 44's. Eli Cassidy said that he did own a shot gun to protect his daughter and wife but that was hidden upstairs. When the house was searched with warrant the gun was fully loaded and hidden upstairs just as described. Eli said that they did get into arguments but the same arguments that every couple gets into that don't effect the relationship. Adelaide did say otherwise but there was no proof. From what the rest of the family understood, they were a happy family and just had a daughter named Scarlette Cassidy. Scarlette Cassidy has blonde hair and hazel eyes and said "Mommy and daddy never argued in front of me but sometimes I could hear them arguing downstairs. Before the shooter person came in her dad said to find a place to hide until he came back." As soon as Adelaide Cassidy got out of the hospital last year she immediately divorced Eli and left him and their daughter. From what the reporters have been told Eli didn't think Adelaide was in the best condition to take care of an infant which was agreed with by the judge.
