"ETHAN STOP!" Grayson yelled taking him by the shoulder and pulling him back into the room.
"WHAT?" he yelled in return.
"You can not tell mom!" Grayson answered angrily.
"I wasn't going to." Ethan smirked pushing past Grayson and walking into the hallway.
"What?" I asked for Grayson as we both followed him into the hallway.
"I just can't wait for her to figure out on her own is what I meant. You guys can tell her now and you would be in less trouble or let her figure out on her own. No matter which you do you are going to get in trouble it may just may be less if you do it now." Ethan said walking towards his door and walking in.
"Thanks for the life lesson Ethan!" Grayson yelled sarcastically.
"Grayson it's okay. He said he wasn't going to say anything so just leave it." I whispered trying to comfort him but it didn't seem to work.
"No I'm not going to stand there and let him threaten you like that." Grayson argued.
"He wouldn't even have to threaten me if I didn't do it so don't be mad at him be mad at me." I argued in return.
"I don't c- just forget it." Grayson said throwing his hands up in surrender and walking into his room.

"Hey baby." Carson said as we walked into the school building Monday morning.
"Hi. How was your weekend?" I asked completely forgetting that I saw him Saturday night.
"I mean it was pretty shitty seeing how you didn't really talk to me until the other night. Did I do something wrong?" he automatically asked.
"Can we please not do this right now?" I asked. I was getting really tired of hearing people argue and I was tired of arguing with others so I am totally not in the mood to try and explain why I've been avoiding him.
"Why Scarlette? What did I do so horrible that we can't even talk about it right now or in class?" he asked causing a few people to turn their heads from their conversations to ours.
"I'll see you in class." I whispered shutting my locker lightly before walking to first period.
"Hey what was that all about?" Amber asked running up behind me and linking our arms together.
"I'm just annoyed at my dad, well pissed, very very pissed at my dad. I don't feel like talking to anyone about it right now and that's all he wants to know about." I explained giving away the smallest amount of details that I could.
"Wait who only wants to know about your dad?" Amber asked setting her stuff down at her desk then sitting down on top of mine.
"Carson. I am not mad at him I just really don't want to talk about it, to anyone really." I replied honestly. I already explained everything to Grayson and that was enough. I just needed to vent everything out once and then bringing it up again wouldn't help at all.
"Not even to your best friend?" she urged and I let out a small laugh.
"No, sorry." I smiled so she would know that I wasn't mad.
"Can I come over after school?" she asked which made me freeze up completely.
"I can only go over to other peoples houses you can't come to the hotel sorry." I managed to get out.
"Oh did you ask your dad already?" she asked with a slightly suspicious attitude.
"Uh no, I just asked him before he left. Are you mad at me?" I asked innocently.
"No it's just I was talking to Carson on Friday and he said that you hadn't talked to your dad at all but you told me that you had so you could see if you could come over. I'm just confused, have you or have you not talked to your dad?" Amber asked getting closer and closer the more she talked.
"I haven't, why are you getting so mad at me?" I asked nervously but showing no fear at all.
"I'm not." she answered simply before getting off of my desk and going to sit down at her own.
"Sorry." I mouthed before hopping out of my seat and running to the bathroom.
"Scarlette are you okay?" Grayson asked but I ran too quickly to give him an answer.
When I got to the bathroom there were a bunch of girls so I ran out of there and out of the school building. I needed to be alone so I could think about everything and let my thoughts over come me for just a little while. I ran all the way to my actual house and climbed up to my window before picking the lock and going inside. I collapsed onto my bed and hid my face in my pillow and started to cry. I cried and cried and cried, partly because of my dad lying to me and partly because Grayson may get hurt if anyone figures out about us living together even if it is just for a month.
Just as I mostly stopped crying I heard something drop, not break just drop, in the kitchen. I got up out of my bed and threw the pillow behind me before walking out my door and downstairs. I didn't see anyone at first so I started to walk upstairs.
"Who are you?" a soft but stern voice asked from behind me. My breathing got heavy and I started to shake when I didn't answer I heard a gun click.
"DON'T SHOOT PLEASE DON'T SHOOT!" I yelled starting to let a few tears fall out of fear.
"THEN TELL ME WHO THE HELL YOU ARE!" the person yelled back.
"I I'M SCARLETTE, SCARLETTE CASSIDY! THIS IS ME AND MY FATHERS HOUSE!" I answered following any order I was given.
"W- wait you're Scarlette?" the person asked.
"Y- yes. Do I know you?" I asked trying to turn around.
"DO NOT TURN AROUND!" the person yelled and I turned back around. "No you don't know me and I'm pretty sure your father would want you to. Now turn around slowly and don't look anywhere else until you hear the back door close. Got it?" the person asked and I nodded my head in agreement.
As soon as I finished turning around I heard the person put the gun down. As soon as I heard the door start to open I felt relieved until they started talking again.
"I hope we get to meet one day, Scar." the person sighed. I turned quickly not following the order I was given.
"Mom?"
