Scarlette's POV
*BANG BANG*
I sat up quickly and flinched at the bright sun shining through my curtains. I heard the banging again so I threw the covers off of me and walked over to the door to reveal Ethan.
"C- oh." he said looking me up and down and realizing I was only in a sweatshirt and underwear. I moved myself behind the door so he could continue. "Well uh, hurry up we are going to leave in about 10 minutes." he said turning around and starting to walk off before I stopped him.
"10 MINUTES?" I basically shouted.
"Yeah you slept in really late but Grayson said you might want to sleep." Ethan said with a smirk and I blushed out of embarrassment.
"Erm okay." I replied closing my door and walking into the closet to find some clothes.
I picked out an off the shoulder tee with ripped skinny jeans and all black timberlands. I quickly got dressed then walked over to the small mirror on the wall and realized my hair was a mess. I rubbed my face with the palms of my hands trying to decide what to do with my messy hair and the only thing that came to mind was a bun. I put up my hair in a bun then put on some makeup. As I was doing my eyeliner I heard another knock at the door but this time it wasn't as hard.
"Yes?" I called but no one answered. "It's open!" I added and I could hear the door open. I looked in the mirror to see who walked in the room and it was Grayson. I let out a sigh before turning around so he had my attention.
"It's time to go." he said with little to no expression.
"Okay I'll be down in a sec." I replied with an attitude which hopefully caught him by surprise.
"Whatever." he said obviously rolling his eyes and walking out of the room. I packed up all my supplies then walked downstairs.
"So who is driving?" I asked Ethan and he just laughed. "Did I say something?" I asked obviously really confused at why he was laughing.
"We don't drive, we walk." he replied throwing his backpack over his shoulder.
"You're kidding right?" I asked with a worried laugh.
"No why? Is princess afraid to get her heels dirty?" he asked and I rolled my eyes.
"No I'm not I just don't want to walk." I said pushing past so I could step outside and call Carson to pick me up somewhere. "Oh and by the way they are boots, not heels." I snapped shutting the door behind me.
"Hey do you think you could pick me up?" I asked into the phone.
"Uh yeah sure where?" Carson asked in response.
"Maybe at the little bakery. I was going to get a croissant for breakfast." I smiled because that actually didn't sound too bad.
"Only if you get me one to." he said and I could tell he was smirking even though I couldn't see him.
"Okay I will." I giggled. "I'll meet you there in about 5 minutes." I said just as Ethan and Grayson walked out the front door.
"Okay see you then." Carson ended before hanging up the phone.
"Who is she meeting this time?" Grayson asked under his breath but I could still hear him.
"It's none of your business, again." I replied even though I knew he wasn't asking me. He rolled his eyes in response and started walking.
After they were a little bit down the road I started walking the other direction to head towards the bakery. When I got there I bought the food and shortly after I saw Carson pull up so I handed him his food and we drove off to school.
Grayson's POV
"So what did you say to her to make her so pissed?" Ethan asked with a small smile.
"I just told her that she should shower." I said trying to sound as innocent as possible.
"What why?" he asked, his smile getting bigger.
"Because I could smell the sex on her." I said and he busted out laughing.
"Are you serious?" he was barely able to say through his laughter.
"Yeah." I laughed along with him just not as hard.
"Speaking of Slu- I mean Scarlette, while you were upstairs talking to her I talked to mom." Ethan said after a few minutes of silence.
"Uh okay? What does that have to do with me?" I asked a little confused at why he felt the need to tell me he talked to our mom.
"Because you know how I said that I would help you get more confident?" he asked and I could hear the excitement build up in his voice.
"Yes?" I replied.
"Well I talked mom into letting us be on the wrestling team." he exclaimed and my heart stopped.
"I already get hit enough, I don't need to get beat up by strangers too." I sighed and his excitement stopped.
"No," he said dragging out the 'o'. "Trust me you will like it." he persuaded.
"I don't know Ethan what if someone from school sees us there and comes over to make fun of us or something?" I asked trying to think of any possible excuse to get out of this.
"I'm pretty sure no one will care if we are in wrestling. If anything they will start to leave us alone a little because we can stand up for ourselves." he argued and I just shook my head.
"I don't know it just seems risky or something like that." I replied and Ethan let out a big sigh.
"Fine but you have to go to at least one practice then if you still don't want to do it then you can quit." he said trying to come to an agreement and just so we could get off of the topic I agreed.
We walked the rest of the way in some silence and every once in a while we would talk about something random that we saw. This was our usual morning routine but something just seemed different. It felt more awkward kind of like some one watching you dance. You know you can do it but you tense up because it's the feeling of having those eyes on you at all times. But this? This isn't dancing. It feels like we are being watched and judged by everything we say but just so Ethan doesn't get concerned I leave my thoughts to myself.
