Chapter Sixteen

When I awoke, there was no sun or singing birds. It was just the opposite of that actually. The sky was black and there was loud yelling. I sit up slowly and checked my phone which was on Jeremy's nightstand. It was only 10:30 p.m.

Out of no where Jeremy popped his head in the door way. "Um, sis. You might want to come out here." I was only half awake not understanding so he helped me up and helped me down the stairs. Nanook was barking and growling in his cage. The front door was open and my mom was looking through the kitchen window. Once we past the kitchen I saw why Jeremy came and got me.

I take a deep breathe before knocking lightly. I pace back and forth before I was greeted by a women in a apron. I was guessing her mother. She noticed the blood on my shirt and knuckles.

"Y-yes?" She said slowly, she seemed frightened.

"Is Kat here?" She nods holding up a finger signaling me to wait right here. I run my fingers through my hair exhaling out. I should've cleaned up. What was I thinking?

The door opens and I was not in the company of Kat. It wasn't her brother, I've seen him before. She never talked about any other guy in front of me and this man looked way too old to be another one of her friends. So my guess was on her father.

"What are you doing here? She doesn't want to see you." He crosses his arms.

"Not to be rude or anything since this is our first time meeting and whatever but I highly doubt that's true sir."

"Excuse me? I am her father, I know what's best for my daughter. Not to be rude or whatever but she doesn't want to see you. " I noticed him starting to mock me. I wasn't to thrilled about it. I never thought I would meet her father like this.

"You know I didn't touch OR hurt your daughter, I'm not like that. I wasn't the one who tried to.. Well you know. " My heart was struck once again knowing what happened.

"I'm already sick and tired of you. First you show up in this town out of know where. Then you take my daughter for days without her calling or telling us. And to top that, the day you bring her home something happens. Something I wish nothing upon anyone's child. What is it that you want from this family? To steel our china when we aren't home?"

"What? I didn't even know you had china and if I was here trying to steel your china, why would I knock?" I smirk a little.

"You think this is funny!"

"No, I was-" He shoved me down off the porch, I made the wrong mistake of pushing him back.

He started shoving me more, my anger was building up. I pushed him once more then he grabbed me by the collar of my shirt. "Listen to me boy! You are never allowed to show your face here ever again or I'll go to the station to have a little talk to the chief who I know every well! Leave now! Before-"

"Dad! What are you doing to him!" Kat shows up and pushes him off me.

"He needs to leave now! You are never to see him again, do you understand me?"

"Dad, he is here to see if I'm okay. He wasn't the guy. Kyle is! Neil helped me!"

"I doubt that! Look at this man! And listen I said man because HE'S A MAN! He isn't even your age Kat! You don't see him. Ever. "

"Listen! I saved her from something you never wanted to happen! Yeah, I might've almost killed a guy but it WAS TO SAVE YOUR DAUGHTER! I would never hurt Kat in anyway!" I calmed down when Kat started to rub my chest.

"Don't touch that rat!" I breathed heavily. I was never disrespected in any way before. Everyone in where I came from respected me.

"How does saving me from getting raped make him a rat?!" He grabs her by her arm and pulls her into the house. She tries hard to make him let her go, all I could do was just stand there. I watched the whole thing. "Neil, I'm so sorry.." With that the door slammed shut. I couldn't move. I should've helped.

I growled then knock again, "Did you not understand? " Without another word I punch him straight in the face. Since I'm older then 18 I knew he could hit be back. But he didn't, which back fired on the plan I had.

"Neil! Why did you do that?"

"Babe, I'm sorry but he-"

"Hey man!" I turn my head and a fist struck me.

"Jeremy! " I spit and see my mouth was bleeding.

I smirk, I stand and to face him. "Not such a good choice. " I slowly take my leather jacket off then bring me fist up waiting.

"I did that for a reason. You deserved it. I'm not going to fight you. " He shook his head then looked at Kat.

"You won't fight me, then you shouldn't have hit me." I put my hands down. "I'm tired of this Kat. Trevor was right. We shouldn't be together. You brought out who I truly am. I'm not a nice guy." I breath lightly. I look at the brother. "Don't touch me. Your only warning. Next time, your head is gone."

"Is that a threat?"

I smirk, "No, it's a promise." I walk to my bike. They all just stood there, shocked. Her father just now getting up with the help of the wife. All of this brought my true self out. As I was about to put my helmet on Kat ran up to me.

"Neil, I don't want to lose you. "

"Is that why you left after Trevor told you too?" she shakes her head. "Then why? I did this for you. But I'm the bad guy here. I can't ruin your life too. You don't know what I've done in the past-" I was shut up by a kiss. I hook my arm around her as she wrapped her arms around my neck.

"Stay with me Neil. " I nod going back to kissing

"Come with me please..I don't want you to be alone with anyone but me."
