Chapter 6: New friends

I open my eyes slightly and notice it's the morning of my first school day at St. Austin High School. I tap snooze on my phone to stop the ringing and head to the bathroom to get ready. I brush my teeth and hair and head out of the bathroom. I go through my closet and try to find an outfit. I want to wear a crop top so I go through the new tops I got on my shopping day. I find the perfect outfit. A black bralette and a pink cropped sweater on top. I wear some light blue jeans and my favorite pair of shoes ; white stylish sneakers.

I go to my makeup table and draw a winged liner on my face and apply some mascara. I put on some lipgloss and grab my book bag to head out the door.

I go downstairs and am greeted my an energetic parent. We greet each other and I grab a banana to eat. I check the time and it's 7:55. Nathan is supposed to be here in five minutes. And about the kisses part, we agreed that were only gonna kiss on the cheek. I can work with that.

I feel my phone buzz and get it out.

Funky monkey : I'm out in my car. Don't be late and get me a banana ;)

I roll my eyes at the name he called himself on my phone. But I'm not willing to change it because I'm too lazy, and it makes me chuckle.

I grab the banana I was told to get but decide to mess with him a little so I grab the rotten one in the bowl. I kiss my mom on the forehead good bye and head out side to be greeted by a smirking boy.

I head towards the car and as I'm about to open the door the car shifts to the front. I walk towards it and it moves again. I walk towards it again and open the door successfully.

"Why did I agree to do this?" I mumbled

"Because you can't resist kissing me"

"Yeah right, I'd rather kiss a slimy frog than you"

"Silly Ayden, you can't kiss yourself" he stated with a teasing grin

"OH MY GOD! YOU'RE SO ANNOYING. JUST DRIVE!" I tell him annoyed by his comeback.

We get to the school and park in the parking lot but before leaving I had to kiss him.

Oh joy!

"Why do you want me to kiss you?" I ask slightly curious by his choice of payback.

He shrugs and I feel like he's hiding the reason but I push it to the back of my mind and I head to peck his cheek.

Making my way inside the building with Nate by my side I notice everyone staring. I just shrug it off then remember:

In the books I read online, there's always this hot dude that goes into school with a new girl and everyone starts hating her.
