Lily and James arrived not long after Sirius got back from the store. He bought a lot of brownies and brownie mix, along with plenty more miscellaneous sweet treats.
As far as dinner goes we ate burgers. After we finished eating we just sat in the living room chatting and hanging out.
"Oh, by the way guys, I'n pregnant," I said acting as if it wasn't anything big.
Lily then yelled, "OH MY GOD WHAT!"
James just said, "Congrats guys," Lily continued squealing about being an aunt among other baby nonsense.
I then notified the ring on Lily's finger. "WHEN THE HELL DID YOU GUYS GET ENGAGED?" James, Sirius, and Emily all laughed at me.
"We have already mentioned that to you Em," Lily giggled.
"Oh," realization came over me and I remembered being told of their engagement about a month ago. "I thought pregnancy brain was a myth..." We all were laughing by the end of that comment.
We just continued to laugh and talk away the night. Lily and James ended up spending the night at our house. We, obviously, didn't mind at all. We were actually quite glad it turned out that way.
A few weeks later I woke up with an odd feeling in my belly. I placed my hand over the area that felt funny. I felt a small, what I assumed, was a kick. Of course, me being ever so rational, I screamed.
Sirius woke up instantly. With a very worried expression on his face he quickly asked, "What's wrong? Is it the baby? Is something wrong with the baby?" The rest of Sirius's worried muttering was incoherent.
"Th-The baby is fine... I think... I think I just felt it kick," I stated as I placed a soothing hand on his shoulder.
"R-really?" He asked. I nodded. "C-can I feel it?" I grabbed his hand and placed where I had felt the kicking. "Oh my goodness... There really is a baby inside you.... Our baby is inside of you right now..." Sirius trailed off. His worried expression had turned into one of pure awe. I giggled at his amazement.
"We should go back to sleep, we have a doctor's appointment in the morning," I whispered after a minute or two. Sirius just nodded and laid back down.
After re-adjusting my position, I too fell asleep, and I both Sirius and I had big goofy grind on our faces as we did.
