I didn't even begin to think about where the date put Sirius and I until morning. I had just realized that I could potentially have the title of Sirius Black's girlfriend.
As far as I knew, no one had previously had that title. The closest to that title most ladies got was, I did 'arts and crafts' with Sirius Black, which I later discovered to be relatively common with the ladies in our year... Ew...
I figure I have to talk to Sirius about where our date put us on the relationship scale. Speak of the devil and he shall appear.
"Hey Sirius," I said nonchalantly as he caught up to me in the corridor.
"Hey Emily, I was wondering, where exactly are we in terms of relationship as of now?" Sirius's question voiced my own thoughts accurately.
Rather then properly answering his question I replied with a question of my own, "Umm, I don't know, where do want us to be?"
Sirius seemed to be in deep thought before quickly saying, "I would love for us to be able to use the whole boyfriend girlfriend titles, but I understand if that isn't quite where we are at yet, considering that we have only been on one date-"
I cut off Sirius from his babbling, "I guess we can use said titles..." Sirius's demeanor changed from nervous to happy and excited as my words settled in his brain. He kissed me on the cheek and ran off, presumably to his first period class.
Oddly enough, I actually giggled a bit. Soon Lily caught up with me.
"What was that about," Lily said referencing Sirius and I's conversation from earlier.
"Nothing important to you," I replied as we entered the classroom.
"Hell yeah it's important to me, that was my top ship sailing right there!" Lily's excited squeals were met with an eye roll from me.
Much to Lily's dismay, I didn't reply to her comment. In fact I was silent for the rest of the period. I wanted to be sure I knew everything, considering finals were next week.
I didn't talk much at all throughout the day. I talked plenty during lunch and dinner I suppose, but for what was basically the rest of the day, I ended up just studying my little heart out.
I really didn't need to study, after all, I was one smart cookie. But, as I had recently started saying better safe then sorry. Oh who am I kidding? Since when do I care about my own safety?
