"Well?" Dad asked.
"He's very nice. We haven't decided the place yet." I felt my phone buzz. I looked. "He likes sandwiches." I looked at the texts from Alexander Hamilton😊😍😻👦🏽💗. "There's a million things he hasn't done, but just you wait. He likes chocolate. He loves writing. He wants to be an actor. He's helping with George's campaign and he is George's candidate for theatre secretary. He hates figs. He is from Rhode Island. His watch is not stolen. Don't ask."
"He probably smokes." Dad said.
"Dad!" I said, annoyed. Peggy laughed. "He doesn't!"
"There's a million things he hasn't done, but just you wait." Dad responded.
"Dad, really, he's a nice, good guy." I shot back.
"He is." Angelica backed me up.
"I want to meet this Alexander." Dad ended to discussion.
So much for "Daddy doesn't need to know", I think. That is the thing Angelica and I say to each other when we do things we shouldn't. Daddy knows.
