Craig POV:

"Take this. Run. Craig, run as fast as you can." he told me.
"Tyler." I cried, shaking my head.
"I love you. I'll be right behind you. I promise." he told me.
A flare gun was pressed in my hand.
"Okay." I said.
We started running.
Evan and Delirious were behind us as well, Nogla straddling behind.
We were all prepared for our deaths.
The Great Rebellion had begun.
The gangs had lost control.
A flare gun was pressed in my hand, Terroriser now in a plane hovering above us, almost unable to see anything but the smoke.
But he'd see the flare.
And he'd drop the bomb.
Literally.
I turned around for a brief second and shot right behind Tyler at the nearest gang heading for us.
It was right in front of them.
I kept running, and I thought Tyler was, too.

Tyler had stopped.
He smiled. I turned around just in time to see him mouth, "I love you."
Evan and Delirious were holding hands.
They had planned this as well.
They had planned to die together.
Nogla had tripped.
I screamed and watched the bomb fall, my friends dying.
In that second, I was blown off my feet by the impact, but I lived.
Neither had the gangs.
But...
Tyler hadn't.
Delirious, Evan?
Nogla?
Gone.
They had just finished my training.
I was an assassin now.
And I screamed and kicked the ground, my heart bursting.
Z ran from the forest into the field we were in, and Tanner soon joined.
Tanner fell to the ground, sobbing and Z even started crying as well, holding my hand and Tanner in her chest sobbing.
Tyler.
He was gone.
Dead.
Because of me.
Dead.

*****

I jerked up and screamed as loud as I could, and Tyler jerked awake, too.
"Mini? ARE YOU OKAY?" He panicked.
I squeezed him as hard as I could and cried.
"Tyler, Tyler. Oh my God. Ty." I said.
"Craig. You almost gave me a heart attack." he told me.
"I'm so glad you're alive." I cried.
"Uh, Craig..? Are you... Okay?" he asked.
I nodded.
"Why are you crying then?" he asked.
I sighed.
"I'm fine. Don't wanna talk about it." I told him.
He shook his head.
"Okay..."
"Where's Z?" I asked.
"I don't know." he said.
We stood up and looked around.
We slid open the sliding glass doors and we saw her standing on the railing, looking down two stories and the road.
"What are you doing?!" Tyler asked her.
Z didn't move.
She put her finger to her lips.
"Z..?" I asked.
I followed her glare to one person in particular... A blonde, wavy haired young woman who looked not much younger than her.
"Z, what are you fucking doing?!" Tyler demanded.
I looked at her eyes.
They were a bright purple color.
Confusion? Curiosity?
"Tyler, do you see that girl?" she asked.
He stepped forward.
"Yes."
"Does she look familiar?" she asked.
"No. I've never seen a girl like that in my life." he told her.
She looked really confused now.
"She looks so familiar." she blinked her eyes.
"What do you mean?" I asked.
Z sucked in a breath and jumped.
"Z!!!" Tyler screamed.
"OH MY GOD!" I yelled.
I covered my mouth, shocked.
Is she okay?!
Z just jumped off a two story building!!
Tyler started to shake and his breathing rate increased.
"Why are you guys screaming?"
We looked over the railing.
Z stood on both feet, looking up at us.
"What the hell?" I asked.
How?!
"Assassin." she laughed.
"Z, YOU BITCH! YOU MADE ME THINK YOU WERE DEAD!" Tyler yelled at her.
"Awh, so little Ty does care after all!" she winked at him and he opened his mouth and silently closed it, me barely being able to hold back a chuckle.
"I hate you." he said.
"Apparently not." she said with a shit eating grin.
I smirked.
"Excuse me, lover boy, I need to go see that girl." Z said, smirking and then running across the street.

Z POV:

I had never hoped so much in my life.

"Are you Del-"
I began.
The lady looked up at me.
I then noticed her blue eyes.
I drew in a quick breath.
"Yes?" she asked.
All my hopes fell.
"Nevermind." I said, trying to smile.
She nodded.
"Have a good night, hon."
I sighed and ran back to the hotel.
I took the stairs this time.

Tyler POV:

"What happened?" I asked Z.
She shrugged.
"She wasn't the girl I thought she was."
Craig looked at her.
"Well, who'd you think she was?" he asked.
She looked at him.
"I thought she was my sister."
She sat down on her bed.
Mini grabbed her hand.
He rubbed her back.
I sat down beside them.
This was one weird ass night.
"What are we going to do next?" Craig asked me.
I looked at him.
"I don't know."
He chewed his lip.
"Well, we're hiding. We don't have much help anymore, besides from the B Bus Gang. What are we gonna do? Turn ourselves in?" he asked.
I shook my head.
"I'm sure they'll forget about us."
Z looked at me.
"People don't forget other people."
"What?" I asked her.
"They can lose memory of them, they could not remember them. But not remembering isn't like forgetting. It sounds dumb, but if you think about it, forgetting another person is impossible. You remember them in some way. And no matter how much you want to forget about someone, you don't. They're always there with you." she sighed, looking to the window.
"You can get the memories beaten out of you, you can be abused to where you want to forget, where you want to get over all the pain, the hurt... The loss. But you move on. That's what we're made to do. We almost always forgive, but we never, ever forget."
"Who hurt you, Z?" I asked her.
She smiled.
"Many people. I thank them for it every day."
"What do you mean, thank them? Why would you thank them?" Craig asked her.
She looked at him.
"They made me stronger. All the bullshit they've done, the, battles I've fought, I'm alive. I've won. And that's what makes me stronger. Sure, you have battle scars," she grinned.
"But those scars, you show them off, they're what made you who you are."
I smiled.
Z was actually a really happy person.
Everyone has snapping points.
But Z's would never come, she would just get stronger.
"What are your next battles going to be?" Craig asked her.
She grinned.
"I'm going to find my family."
