Z POV:
"Markis Treads." I told Evan.
He looked at me, examining the smile on my face.
"What? You brought a Casual in here?" He rolled his eyes.
"Evan, we were all Casuals once. We are always new to things. Come on, let him stay." I smiled.
He shook his head.
"We don't have time to train him."
"We don't need time to train him, he will learn himself. Just like you and Tanner did." I said.
He sighed.
"How many are there of all of us?"
"Fifteen on our side, thirteen on their's." I told him.
"Why would thirteen gangs join those idiots?" Droidd appeared out of nowhere.
"Droidd?!" I asked, startled by his appearance.
"Couldn't miss the fight, could I?" He grinned.
"Yeah, we need all the people we could get." I said, looking at Evan.
He rolled his eyes.
"Fine. Markis, stay. For now."
Evan stood up.
"I made you guys walkie talkie watches." Droidd said, winking at Mini.
"Hey, there's a newbie, too." He laughed.
Mini blushed and hid behind Tyler.
"I'm in charge of him." Tyler said.
Droidd nodded.
"You're in charge of him? I thought you were provoked of-" Droidd began.
"We needed more assassins," Tanner walked in.
"So we need more trainers."
"Z, Craig, David, Tyler. I want you four to go see how many gangs they've tooken over. One last time." Evan commanded.
We groaned because we didn't want to go with one another, but we reluctantly left.
Mini and Tyler still wouldn't talk to me, and I didn't understand why.
What did I do?
We were heading on the cliffs now, a rocky part of the smallest mountain.
Tyler and Craig were in front of me, walking fast so they wouldn't have to face me.
What the hell is their problem?
David stepped in front of me, and I just let him pass, because I just didn't care anymore if I lagged behind.
Then I stumbled to catch up, and my footing fell.
"FUCK!" I screamed, sliding down, barely grabbing the side of the mountain with my hands.
"TYLER!" I yelled without thinking.
He turned around and looked at me.
"Leave her behind." He said.
Craig hesitated, but he turned around again to grab Tyler's hand.
Daithi looked at me with watery eyes.
Then he kept on walking.
"DAITHI! PLEASE!" I screamed.
I forgot my grappling hook.
Evan stripped me of all my weapons and tools before we left so that I wouldn't hurt Tyler with them.
They kept on walking.
"WHAT THE HELL! TRAITORS! I'M PART OF YOUR FAMILY!" I screamed, growling.
"You used to be." Tyler mumbled.
"What?" I asked, struggling to hold onto the rocks, trying to pull up my other hand, too.
"The fact that we're leaving you behind is your fault." He told me.
I looked at him.
"WHAT? What did I possibly do for you to do this to me? To leave me here, to die! You know he took away my weapons. You knew I'd be helpless! You imbecile! I demand you get down here and HELP ME!!" I screamed, tears starting to prickle my eyes.
I'm not dying this way, I still have to find Delilah, I still have to find Hannah and Keegan. I needed my family."You're just getting what you paid for." Tyler turned and said to me.
"Please Tyler, please." I cried, whispering.
"What did I do, Tyler? What did I do to you to deserve this?" I said, gasping between breaths, trying to keep in the sobs, but miserably failing.
My mother's face popped into my mind, Keegan behind her as a child.
No, I have to find them. I have to save Delilah from herself.
They're suffering, I can feel it."You killed my father. Then you killed Kelly!!!" He walked up to me and bent down, his watery, blue eyes staring into mine.
"What made you do it, Z?! What made you kill her? WHY WOULD YOU DO THAT?!" He yelled, grabbing my face in his hand, squeezing it a little too tightly for my liking."Tyler! Stop, she may have hurt you, but she's still a girl." Craig demanded.
"I don't fucking care. I'll kill her myself for all I care! I'll throw you off this cliff right fucking now!!" He screamed. My breath hitched and I squealed.
"NO!! TYLER!! PLEASE STOP! PLEASE! I DIDN'T KILL THEM! PLEASE!" I yelled.Daithi could've helped me.
He had weapons.
So did Craig.
Only Tyler and I were stripped. But they didn't help.
They didn't even care the smallest bit that I could die this way, in moments I would most likely be flying off the cliff.Lui's still out there. I have to save him, too.
I have to.
"I don't believe you. Luke told me what you did, you sick, twisted bitch!" He yelled.
"TYLER! JUST LET HER GO!" Craig yelled.
"Why should I, Craig?! SHE DESERVES THIS! COME ON, YOU SAID YOU'D HELP ME!" He gripped my face harder.
"Tyler, please, just leave her alone." Daithi said.
"No. I won't leave her alone until she is dead." He said, letting go of my face, causing me to slide backwards a small bit.
But he was still in reach.
"TYLER! Please! I didn't do anything! He's trying to tear us apart because of the War!" I screamed.
At this point, I was grabbing onto whatever I could hold onto, an old rag that was cemented into the trail, a jagged rock, an abstract piece of tree root. I was gasping for breath, about to have a panic attack, up in the air several dozens of feet.I pulled myself upwards a little more, but I was still slowly sagging. When I got the chance, I reached for a rock, but I cut my hand and slid a little bit more backwards.
"YOU'RE JUST GOING TO LET YOUR SISTER DIE? AFTER ALL WE'VE BEEN THROUGH!!?" I managed to holler out.
No words were spoken, it was uncomfortable silence, besides my cries of despair and sobs of betrayal. The fact that he would actually go so far like this, so far as to kill me, stung my heart, made my stomach churn. It sent a bitter taste of loneliness through my mouth, knowing that he was a part of the only family I had left, and he had left me soon as well.
Tanner wasn't here, Calibre was gone.
Evan had stripped me of my weapons, my only way of surviving now.
Daithi would've saved me if I hadn't hurt the one he loved, and supposedly, I wouldn't have even been in this situation in the first place if Tyler had trusted me and depended on the statement that I hadn't killed the one he loved, either.i screamed in pain and tried to grasp another rock. I was slowly slipping away.
Millions of things were on my mind, but it seemed to go so slow.
Hannah, I have to save her from Keegan.
Keegan, I have to save him from Delilah.
Delilah....I have to save her from herself.
I will win that war.
I will help my friends.
I will save my family.A low growl slid up my throat and I shot up like a bullet, sliding my feet up.
I didn't get far when the rock underneath me slid down the mountain, and I was left with one choice.I scooted myself up further and launched, grabbing a hold of Tyler's foot.
He looked down at me now and I grabbed him tighter.
"Pull me up, now." I demanded.
He was silent and Craig had his face in his hands.
Daithi stood there, anxious."PULL ME UP NOW!" I begged.
He shook his head.
"Please." I uttered.
Nothing was said as he shot forward and shook me off, kicking me off the mountain.
